British TV personality, Piers Morgan has thrown a shade at Messi after he won the FIFA Men’s Player of the Year award last night.

Messi won the award a record 6th time by beating Juventus star player Cristiano Ronaldo and Liverpool defender Virgil Van Dijk.

Reacting to the news, Piers Morgan who last week released a powerful interview with Ronaldo, stated that Messi cannot compare with Ronaldo.

Given reason, he tweeted:

What exactly does he need to prove? Ronaldo left United for Madrid becos Madrid were a bigger club. Ronaldo left Madrid for Juventus becos he was no longer happy becos he wanted a new deal. Why shld Messi leave Barca who give him new deals and where he's happy jus becos U are a Ronaldo fan? MESSI enjoys football and plays it becos he enjoys it.

attitude was also used in the rating, my mate is saying Virgil Van Dijk should have won it.. on what basis players were not really on their best form last season.. No outsanding performance. Attitude was used on average for judgement. My opinion

There is no team that will have messi and want him to go, you know how much they make on him and everything he wants Barcelona is giving him..and don't forget this same Barcelona is one of the biggest club in the world...so where do you want him to go... Chelsea inter or psg huh

....is not possible... Ronaldo can b replaced it may only take time but no one can replace LEO that will surely take century before such can happen

is it the same Piers Morgan who said that Pele(who won 3 World Cups), is not good enough to enter the Arsenal team that went undefeated in 2003/2004?

This was a team that had Henry, Bergkemp, Ljunberg and Pires...............................................Morgan said that Pele would not be able to make the squad list!!!

I am sure you guys know that Piers Morgan is a die-hard Arsenal fan!!! We all know what Messi did to his team in the past!!!
