Super Eagles striker Iheanacho finally scores for Leicester in 12 months in EFL Cup win over Luton

- Kelechi Iheanacho scored his first goal of the season for Leicester City in the EFL Cup

- The Super Eagles striker calmly finished a Marc Albrighton's assist in the 86th minute

- The Foxes won the game 4-0 with Gray scoring a brace and Tielemans also on target

Kelechi Iheanacho made his first appearance in a competitive match for Leicester City in the 2019-20 season in the EFL Cup.

And the Nigerian international justified his selection by Brenda Rodger as he put his name on the scoresheet in the comprehensive 4-0 win over Luton Town.

Demarai Gray began the onslaught in the 34th minute as Spanish striker Ayoze Perez provided the assist for the Englishman.

Ten minutes later Youri Tielemans was on hand to help James Justin score the Foxes second to make it 2-0.

Meanwhile, Legit.ng had earlier reported that Kelechi Iheanacho has set a record he might not want to remember for a while after going without a goal for a calendar year.

The out of favour Super Eagles striker was yet again left on the bench as the Foxes defeated Tottenham 2-1 at the King Power Stadium.

He tried as he wanted to loop the ball over the goal keeper.

The Iheanacho guy seems to be always good in FA cup and league cup.

Dis guy career is going downhill... He wasn't even considered gud enough to start a carling cup match... Any ambitious player would have left for where dey'll get more opportunities

Ayii.. Eyyah his career is hanging.. He didn't start the game came in at 71min..I doubt if he will make it to there match day squad talkless of getting a premier-league match time

Get opportunities?....u better don't advice him if u see him to go elsewhere with that his present form...u don hear about unemployment for football before....ask coentrao we play for Madrid B4......
It will be better for him to get his feet back to form at leceister city before leaving or else...or else...
Well it's good news that he has scored... at least that one self go boost confidence
