We can never get it right until the youths of this great nation stand up & defend what's rightly there's. One of my prayer points this morning is that God should raise more of the likes of Sowore who will defer threats & defend this nation. With the way things are going down here, even the unborn children of this nation are in trouble already. God Bless Nigeria!

Balewa....Sayawa tribe (not Hausa)
Gowon: Angas. (not Hausa).
Muritala Muhammed (Hausa).
Buhari (Fulani)
IBB (Gwari...not Hausa).
Abacha (Kanuri not Hausa).
Abubakar (Nupe).
Yaradua (Fulani).

Add the fact that back at the dawn of INdependence, Awo offered a coalition to Azikiwe's NCNC...which was rejected. (not that there was anything wrong with that...NCNC going into coalition with NPC was good)...but the thing is, political power is by alliances, and by alliances.

When Southerners are busy fighting among themselves, what do you expect. Plus, if Nzeogwu had not been so reckless to organise a coup (and no, it was not an Igbo coup)...instead of going into politcs, forming a party, and advocating his position...things might have been much different.

Point of correction: Nzeogwu did not organize (plot) the coup.

Hausa are not the largest by population young man, North is very diverse and multi ethenic.

However Hausa language is the most spoken language in Northern Nigeria because of it's simplicity

Kanuri people are from Bornu state. But Abacha is from Kano State. Perhaps which state is now Hausa by default?

But Nzeogwu, a man i admired most gave life, wide reach to the coup. He assasinated the top most Northerner and spiritual leader of Nigerian muslim. It was an aberration. Even the British despite conquering Benin Empire refused to elicit such hatred of the Binis by not executing the Oba. Going by ur statement, same could be argued Buhari didnt organise the coup that ousted Shagari.
