Used the deen guy that some people shared on this group. He said some people interpret it as 20kg per food item not total. I guess it is cos we didn't have any issues when we picked it up here Iwinosified: |

Just to add to this, I only got part of my living expense allowance at the start of the semester. Also, only a semester portion of my tuition fee has been paid. The balance will be paid in January at the start of the 2nd semester and I'll also get the balance of my living expenses then. I don't know if this is because I'm receiving the aid from Alberta and studying in Ontario, or if it's based on the structure of the academic program. But I like the feeling of looking forward to another payment in January ![]() Majesticniyi: |

SmallerB:I am in Saskatoon. Don't know if your questions has been answered. Mine I am a student with family of 5. Monthly expense is well over about 4. Single person can survive with about 1500 I believe . that includes feeding and accommodation. For graduate studies I think its great. But you should be ready to really work hard. It pays off eventually. Be prepared for cold. |

Thank God for journey mercies. Please what cargo company did you use? You mentioned Air Canada, I didn't know Air Canada has cargo services from Lagos to Canada. Also please how much per bag/kg are the terminal fees when collecting cargo? Thanks in advance. daks02: |

If you have family or friends who can host, it is always better to land with them first. You can always easily move to where the job is if you are still single. etrange: |

Blackbuddy:If you come in under the FSW program, you can live and work anywhere in Canada, including Québec, and without a CSQ. I lived there for some months, if that helps. cc @AZeD1 |

@ daks02, May the land of Canada favour you and yours, in Jesus'name. Please did you get the yellow fever card to fly with Lufthansa? If yes, where did you get it? Anybody who has flown with Lufthansa could also answer because, we travel in a few days and we don't have enough time, please. Thank you! |
| Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by Pwinkle1(f): 10:00am On Oct 04, 2019 |
TITILOLA88:You can do your yellow fever card at Port Health - just by the toll gate at the airport. Go really early in the morning and you can get it sorted the same day, no need to pay anybody. |

jossy26:I am not sure if APEGS, APEGS etc recognizes HND or not. You may want to carry out a research on that. I do know that APEGA does not accept Bachelors in Applied Tech or Bachelors in Technology (from non universities) for registration as Professional Engineers or EIT. However; if they don't, there are engineering tech regulatory bodies like ASET in Alberta or OAECTT in Ontario that regulates Engineering tech diplomas. https://www.oacett.org/ https://www.aset.ab.ca/ https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Certified_Engineering_Technologist |

Hello guys, I’m new here and I must say I’ve learnt a whole lot reading from experienced peeps here. Please, I have a question to ask. My wife and I belong to a cooperative society where we work. Can our statement of accounts reflecting our cumulative savings be used as part of our POF in addition to funds we have in fixed deposit bank accounts? I am hoping we wouldn’t have to terminate our membership of the cooperative before we are ready to finally relocate. Thank you in advance for your kind responses. ![]() |
