I do not support the hash tag campaign on twitter as well. To what end will that be? The process is still on going.

Someone suggested tagging "influencers" from opposition, Are they not our common enemy? No politician or an influential person is a savior of the common man.

If we don't want this recruitment to slip out of our hand, I believe we don't need any campaign right now. Let's give it time.

The tag should also include influential pple in the opposition party, they will dig down to the root of the matter, and bring it to the public, I bet u.
There's absolutely no point of bringing politics into this matter, such tags will most likely cause more harm than good.

You are a wise man.

If they like, let them tag Donald Trump, if NNPC is not ready to release APL, nothing will happen.

I don't support the trending of any hashtags. This goes against decent behaviour. Remember that you can lose control of the narrative once it picks momentum. No one can tell how the tone of the campaign will turn once the public who are not currently at this stage of the recruitment join the campaign. Also, you'll be making yourselves ready casualties of the result of opposition party insults of the current government and NNPC.

I know people who were in NLNG recruitment from 2013 that lasted for 3 years at least! In the end the recruitment was concluded after a pro-longed period of silence. We haven't even spent up to six months since the final stage. So what's the hurry?!

I expect that it is GTs itching for this campaign. EHs surely know that a Twitter campaign would more likely hurt than help us.

This is the outcome that is unveiled when there are lots of jobless youths with lots of free time. They have no idea how this country works that is why a revolution would never be feasible from the youths. Our politicians have no shame, how many times have they faced public embarrassment and yet fail to resign from their position. Talk less of an NNPC recruitment that is their haven.

Companies and multinationals take at least a year or more to complete their recruitment exercises and they are expecting a federal government parastatal to complete a national recruitment under 6 months. The NLNG lasted for 3 years for those employed/regretted and some of us that were 'waitlisted' had to wait another year to be rejected and some clowns here are sharing hashtags for an FG recruitment that has lasted barely 7 months. When they eventually cancel the whole recruitment then it would dawn on a lot of these guys whose lives are literally hanging on the thread of this job.

Sad stuff.

Yes you are right, it is too early for all these. Let's chill until the end of the year. The social media thingy can easily be abused. People that didn't even apply or failed the CBT test will take advantage of it.And if need be, I feel a more formal way is better, thru newspapers etc

I am compelled to agree with you on this. Eventhough I would have wanted to have any sort of official update from NNPC concerning the recruitment exercise but making noise about it on twitter will only provide leverage for some rabble rousers looking for every opportunity to politicise an issue or to blast the FG, to hijack the idea and make a mess of the whole thing.

Someone even said we should desist from using certain hashtags like #NNPCScam, please how do you intend to stop thousands of twitter users from airing their "biases"? Trust me some people who didn't even know that NNPC conducted an exercise before now will seize the opportunity to haul insults @MKKyari.

Recall the anti-Xenophobic protest started as a peaceful protest organised by decent Nigerians until the hoodlums hijacked it and it became a criminal activity.

My advise is that we tread carefully as it is still too early to throw caution to the wind, let's still keep exploiting the official communication channels provided by NNPC and hope that they respond.

Because Nlng recruitment lasted for 3 years, Nnpc should last for 6 years?.
Our judgement can be really funny sometimes.
Everyone is aware of the momentum that had backed the recruitment from inception.
Everyone had commended the process. The organization and speed has been second to none.
Heck it even goes as far as competing if not being better than the recruitment of multinationals.
Seeing that pace and standard, it’s logical for candidates to anticipate notification of the interview since September. As far as a lot of people are concerned, the process has been concluded.
What is going on now according to rumours is the adjustment and readjustment of the candidates that were picked. Some people that were seemingly qualified are no longer qualified enough. Some say some states were not represented equally even when we are aware that the list was scrutinized based on the quota system.
The whole drive has plummeted and some people have the boldness to come out saying Nlng took 3 years, some multinationals take longer. Shame on you!
The hashtag is not a bad idea however I do not support a retarded tag like Nnpcscam or the trolling likes. We have to be courteous. There’s nothing wrong in wanting to be in the know afterall this present shell recruitment that is abnormally taking time, people were curious. They asked shell and got a response that they experienced an overwhelming application so people should be patient as if you have not been regretted, you are still considered.
In this Nnpc, some people have been paid twice, some paid once, some that even took loan to travel have not been paid. If you call all the hotlines provided, none goes through. You email and you get no response, we are just like zombies yet some people have the audacity to say Nlng lasted 3 years.
As a Nation should we be going backwards or advancing! Is this the type of mentality you want to bring into Nnpc when you are recruited? Shame on you!
I support a better Nnpc and a greater Nigeria. Thanks.

Dear all,
I sincerely do not support the idea of of taking this matter to the social media, Twitter.

I want us to understand that opposition party, or whatever you want to call them may wake up from no where with the information supplied on twitter and begin to ring false bell over this recruitment, and it will suffer untold delay in the name of investigation, and may never see the light of the day anymore. Common sense is not gotten from the four walls of the university.

Also, we should be aware that even private sectors do take some months after interview before they conclude on their recruitment.

Today makes two months and weeks after the interview. Why do we want to use our hands to destroy the recruitment that we have been opportune to partake to the final level?

Please let's be cautious in whatever we think is right.
God forbid. This is Nigeria, this recruitment can be cancelled any time if care is not taken. No true democracy here that we want to express ourselves for people to here us. Catastrophic people will here us on Twitter, and perhaps, they were unable to fix in their people. It would then become opportunity for them to ensure that an end is put to this process.

Lastly, no matter how it tarries, we should keep praying that no one should replace our names.

Thank you all.

it is still tooooo early for you guys to stage any social media campaign. 2 months plus after an interview (even if it's a multinational) and a protest is about to be staged...big LOL.

And the pessimists, the naysayers and the cowards are out. Those who would rather sit down and do nothing but would be willing to stop those who are ready to do something.

You guys are part of what is wrong with Nigeria, so because NLNG recruitment lasted for 3 years, you think it is normal??

We are were we are today because of the type of people we are, Docile and Afraid. No wonder the government takes us for a ride.

What is wrong with people politely asking a government establishment what is the update on an ongoing recruitment?

Nigeria would never progress with these kinds of pessimistic people.

@bolded you are not in control of what other people posts. It can be abused by people that did take place in the exercise or people that failed the cbt test. It can go south. Let's be patient still the end of the year. I am not in support of sitting down and doing nothing but social media might not be the way

I want to appeal that we take things a little bit slow... We can demand for update without hashtag. Hash tags would give aggrieved persons a platform to end the recruitment process. We could simply tag @nnpcgroup and @Mkkyari

We can put pressure by consistently asking the two twitter handles mentioned above for update. When we do that for a time and it doesn't yield the desired result, we can then 'let hell loose'.

No need to bring opposition to the game (at least not now). It could get messy; suspended, subjected to further investigation or cancellation.

i do agree with u, however on a second look, in Nigeria the longer something delays the longer the opportunities for change and replace and with staff's retiring it could lead to being forgotten which could then lead to outright cancellation if a new set come in, hence why sometimes its good to make hay while the sun is still shining.

I support the twitter idea. However, we should politely and respectfully ask for an update on the recruitment while thanking them for the transparent process recorded so far. No negative words. No tagging of opposition party. No negative hashtags. The key words should be politely and respectfully. Let's not forget, they are our future boss. Our attitude matters here.

And if people decide to do the opposite of what you advised and mess up the original idea, what then happens?

A Wiseman once said "do not create what you do not have control over, it will seek to control you"

If we must ask questions, there are better controlled channels to do so, twitter is like a keg of gun powder, it just needs any fool (who has nothing to lose) to light a fire and it blows up on everyone's face.
