Ten players of Nigerian descent have been invited to England's national teams for international matches in October 2019.

Chelsea duo Tammy Abraham and Fikayo Tomori would be barred from representing the Super Eagles if they get playing time in any of the two European Championship qualifiers against Czech Republic (Oct 11) and Bulgaria (Oct 14).

England U19 head coach Paul Simpson has included Chelsea midfielder Faustino Anjorin, Arsenal winger Bukayo Saka and West Ham loanee Ajibola Alese on his roster for the International Marbella Cup holding in Spain.

The Young Lions will face France and Belgium on October 9 and October 12 respectively as part of their preparations for November's U19 EURO first qualifying round.

Arsenal midfielder Miguel Azeez and PSV Eindhoven's Nonso Madueke have both received call-ups to the England U18 squad for friendlies against Poland, Slovakia and Austria.

Celtic goalkeeper Tobi Oluwayemi, Manchester City winger Samuel Edozie and Aston Villa midfielder Carney Chukwuemeka have all been handed their maiden England U17 call-ups.

They are in line to debut for the world champions in matches against Germany and Spain at the Pinatar Arena, near Murcia.

Ten Nigeria-Eligible Players Called Up By England

1) Tammy Abraham (Chelsea) - Three Lions
2) Fikayo Tomori (Chelsea) - Three Lions
3) Faustino Anjorin (Chelsea) - U19
4) Ajibola Alese (West Ham) - U19

Sheffield United could have signed Real Madrid conqueror Emmanuel Dennis this summer for £13.3m.

Belgian publication Het Laatste Nieuws reports that the Blades made a £8.9m offer for the Club Brugge striker. Yet this fell just short of their valuation.

Monaco were also understood to be interested in Dennis, but in the end the 21-year-old remained in Belgium.

The Nigeria international made headlines across Europe this week after scoring twice at the Estadio Santiago Bernabeu in the Champions League.

Forgiveness still in shock. My man no gree comment again after Tomori shoved him and his Osun State deputy governor down a pit latrine like an over used tissue paper grin

Nigeria has been in contact with Tomori, he was supposed to join Akpom, Lookman and co in switching but his involvement in the Chelsea first team this season changed the whole story.

Rohr contacted him recently and he asked for more time. That is when i knew, it was over.

See the amount wey dem wan buy am, dennis should cost nothing less than 20million pounds, he can play as a winger and a striker, dennis has even played as a wing back

Wesley moraes was sold for 22 million pounds and he is only a centre forward, he doest even have a better goal ration than dennis who hardly play as a striker, forget the madrid game, if okereke was available i doubt dennis will play as a striker, and mbaye diagne was benched for 90 minutes

When it comes to signing of players monaco wont pay big because they love business, they might want to even buy dennis for 7 million so they will end up selling for a better profit

That's the problem folks of your kind have. I have severally posted positive reviews on players from the home front.

I have made positive posts on the performance of players likes Okereke even when he was still in serie B, chukwueze, oshimeh, ndidi, Michael Kingsley, Dennis, kalu, onyekuru just to mention a few and of recent Ejike, Azeez and olayinka.

I don't just hype players without monitoring them and if you are tagging me bias because I have so many times disagree with those clamouring for the invite of mediocrity such as azubuike, Nwakali and co then I prefer to be biased all my life

I agree with you base on wetin you talk, you be correct boy but you get OGBA for head

Abeg if you are mentioning zuby dont mention nwakali till he starts playing first team football, na God i use beg you, zuby and nwakali should never be in the same sentence, you know this but you no dey hear word

imagine almighty Netherlands rushing to cap danjuma who by their standard was playing in the lowly belgian league then just to stop us from getting him. he got few caps and have not been called up since then. their aim was to have him in their fold with hope that he will metamorphose to a better player in the nearest future.

Italy also recently took the same step by capping current everton's youngster moise keane just to wade of the lure of the Ivorians. till date the dutch are still in pains for losing ziyech to Morocco.

i posted rohrs comment on the possibility of inviting saka to the national team and the response i got here was that he is not needed when we have ejuke who is doing well in holland currently but the fellow never put into consideration the possibility of having both talented players in our fold which will benefit the team in the nearest future

the edge the western world have over us is that they plan ahead for the future while we rely on quick fix approach which have failed us for so many decades.

Danjuma has been injured, he has only played one game this season in the epl, but trust me danjuma is better than most player in the dutch squad and if he does well in the epl he will get more call up, trust me, the netherlands do call players from small teams so forget about the lowly rated belgium league

Moise kean issa fan favorite in italy, if he does well at everton trust me he will get more call up, same was said about balotelli, if balotelli has been serious with his career he should have won about 80 caps for italy now and you know this, if you are good you are good

The dutch will be angry for loosing ziyech, ziyech will easily make the dutch team without stress, morocco has lost many players to the Netherlands, i cant even name them

another big problem with alot of nigerians is pride and arrogance. the nff and rohr reaches out to a foreign born players and the lads pleads for time to weigh their options it will then be tagged that the duo are begging this kids to play for us upon rejection at the first try.

almighty victor moses, ebuehi and iwobi at first rejected the idea of playing for us but later had a change heart after intervention from their management team and family. even unknown sone aluko then turned down the offer to play for us but later rescind his decision.

no one saw anything wrong in keshi bringing in an almost finished ameobi who rejected several approach to play for us when he was in his prime but will cry and mourn when they see a caption in one of the sports dailies or sites that the nff or rohr is in discussion with one of this kid. then they will tag it begging.

we really need to change our reasoning and accept the fact that football in general have evolved. i am not campaigning for kids from the local scene to be ignored but for us to have a collection from both side to form a formidable squad and pool that will be the envy of other football nations in the world.

france won the 2018 world cup with 70% of players of African parentage but today that doesn't count, all the world know and as recorded is that france have won the world cup twice and nothing till the end of time can change that

At the bolded i saw everything wrong, this is one of the reasons i call nigerians ass lickers, i am still angry a shola ameobi made the world cup easily and a certain brown ideye was not there

They see nothing wrong in that just because he was born abi brought up in abroad, majority of nigerians are tribalist but they respect all foreigners

Nonsense

I don't know how a young man in this age will still be thinking in such awkward and parochial fashion.....

everyone cannot be on same page...some Nigerians talk more on foreign born players here because they live abroad or because they tend to have knowledge of such players more... and some like Basco talk on local groomed players because that's their area of speciality

but should be maximized to our advantage.
like you used before most Nigerians are so damn proud..... and unable to think both ways.

They should've approached him when he was at Derby.

They did, buh the guy chose Euro U21 tourney with England, instead. He was never interested in playing for Nigeria, in fact, if he had failed with his English dreams, his next stop would av been Canada not Nigeria. So folks in here should stop crying.

In other news, here is something to cheer about; From the little I av gathered, Bukayo Saka is excited with the prospect of playing for Nigeria bkus he, just like his father, is a die hard super eagles fan. He grew up watching more Nigerian games at home than England games. His father brought him up purely the Nigerian way, hence he doesn't consider himself English, but Nigerian. In fact, his paper work would be through same time as Ademola's.

Christophe Galtier the coach of Lille is worried that his team is getting too relaxed because they feel they have an Osimhen. He fears his side are becoming
too reliant on the shoulders of a youngster who is fast
becoming their talisman.

Following the weekend’s draw with Nice, he
grumbled: “We were too gentle offensively.
We’ve not played to win. It’s as if the
players are resting on Victor.”

Did u know this boy had no preseason, neither with Lille nor with Charleroi, and he didn't even play up to 50mins throughout his stay with the Eagles in the Afcon?

For me,to say that someone is not a Nigerian because he/she was born and raised abroad is nonsensical and also a myopic view. I think parents has a big role to play in shaping the mindsets of these young chaps by imbibing their culture in them early enough. I believe that a kid brought up in foreign land with a grounded knowledge about his/ her roots will always associate himself/herself with their country of origin(not necessarily represent them). Take Antony Joshua as an example.
I have also seen kids that were raised abroad speak their native language perfectly.

As for not having alot of young homegrown lads coming through the ranks when we have talented kids littered in the country, the NFF and underaged coaches are to blame for that. They are too lazy to scout for talents hence they resort to a quick fix by allowing overaged players fill those slots.
The sports sector is not different from other sectors where bribery, diversion of funds and all sorts of corruption are noticed in a shameful and alarming way.

My point is,I dont blame anybody for choosing not to represent Nigeria,it is their choice which has to be respected. Some will also prefer to represent us regardless. For me everyone is needed as far as the talent is there regardless of where the individual is raised. The team benefits from it as there will be healthy competition amongst players.

Nobody said once you're born abroad you are not Nigerian but if you have two passports you have to choose where your loyalty lies

Abraham has made his choice and is fully English, Iwobi has made his choice and is fully Nigerian, you can be fully citizens of both countries as Komekn was insinuating
