A quick question, so how do you dispose of your gadgets when you're tired of them or when you need to upgrade?

I give it out to those close to me or those in need of it.

Den u have to keep living with bloatwares

How can I have bloatwares on my.phone when I never.changed my region to India?

Seems you don't even know the point of the discussion with genius43.

Since my region is set of Nigeria, I don't have a single bloatware on my phone. Hence, I see no need to root. Do you understand now?

All of these wont work bro, u knw why?
D first priority of the thief is to factory reset the phone and once dat is done, mi cloud won't detect the phone again.
Unfortunately, the thief will realise he can't use it after a factory reset
Once I get a new Redmi, I will try some workarounds whether d cloud lock can be beaten(if no workarounds yet), I'm sure d cloud lock must have it limitation as well

My Redmi 7 dat was stolen neva came online since dat day they stole it, so cloud tracking is useless
It's not useless, your phone hasn't come online because data is not turned on. If the thief does factory reset, off course data will be turned off. There's a chance of turning the data on from the start screen, though police tracking with imei will be the best method.

Double data eligibility for each customer differs. You know your max and avail options by dialing that code. That's d purpose!

stephinnoyewole:

U mean no workaround to this yet?
My advice is to unlock d phone from mi cloud to enable the thief to make use of the phone, it will make it easier for police to track
Police tracking ranges from 10-15k depending on ur location tho, some states may be higher tho, just ensure u knw som1 that will help do gud followup, police are crooks we all know.
Once locked, phone cannot be unlocked remotely, has to be done on the phone. There's no workaround to by pass this lock on a device with locked bootloader.

Sorry to the folks whose phones have been stolen.

Here's my small contribution to phone security: the use of a smartwatch. I use an amazfit bip and one of the features I enjoy is the option to allow the watch to vibrate once the phone is out of Bluetooth range.

I'm obsessed with my phone so it's practically glued to my hand anyway but on rare occasions where I leave it on a table and walk out of the room, the watch vibrates and forces me to remember where my phone is. If it's in a safe place I'll keep going but if not I'll go back to grab it.

It doesn't prevent someone from slapping my face to collect it but it hopefully it reduces the opportunity for someone to covertly pick it up.

Thanks for subscribing to my youtu.be channel. See you next time

Try Firefox browsers. I use "Firefox Preview" and it's been great. They have "Firefox focus" and the fully fledged Firefox browser.

For all those that need the Poweramp paid version, I have it on my Google account.

No need for cracks when you can get the original. I'm not charging a dime for it. If you need it, send me a PM and I'll give you my Google account and the password to login and search for Poweramp unlocker on playstore. Download it and you are good to go. Uninstall that crap called cracked.

I'm interested !!

1. You need password to factory reset.

2. Let's assume the wrong password was entered ten times and the phone factory resets, the first bootup screen will still ask for password.

Please xiaomi gurus, my rn4x is taking a lot of time to charge, it's not like that before. For me to get a full charge now it takes up to 12 hours. Is it only me or has anyone else encountered same. I still have the original charger head and the Usb cable.
Re: The Xiaomi Thread. by olayinkajnr(m): 8:30am On Oct 07, 2019
Biko, those quoting my May post about Poweramp, my father Christmas attitude led to someone hijacking my Google account because I was willing to share then and I did to lots of people. Many people warned me but because I don't have any personal files on it, don't use for communication and because it's the google account I use for purchases on playstore, I shared with others.

I was able to recover it though recently but made up my mind not to give it to anyone again.

Sorry about that.

Clean your USB port for impurities or Get a new cable and if it still remains the same get a new adapter if it doesn't work then consider changing the port.

I dunno why you bother yourself. Even unlocked bootloader can't be bypassed.

Let's see him grab someone's phone and try to tinker with it like he said and give us feedback.

Toh, make we ask the greedy ones among us.

What pain me most is that, it was hijacked up to 4 times within the space of 2 weeks. On each occasion, I recovered them and still continue sharing it with others until the last one where I decided to not share it anymore once recovered.

Selecting the specs is simple, you have to select the size of ROM and RAM you want. Like I said I got the 4gb 32gb variant and there's the option to include keyboard or not. I'd advise you include keyboard to make the your experience smoother.

The experience has been wonderful, especially be cause of the wireless keyboard that makes it easy to type from some meters away from the box. You can also easily navigate using the mouse pad on it.
okikiosibodu:

Thank you. Tried to open it and I am seeing other varieties on AliExpress..... 16gb Rom, 2g, 4g, etc... Pls can you enlighten we novice about the specifications... And can you narrate your experience with it so far?
