Of course he knows that is why i use the word ''mind game'' maybe you should check the meaning of mind game.

This thread is for discussing players like Osimhen, we cannot and should not have enough of him.

If he likes, he can perform against Brazil or not, it is not a means of gauging his glaring talent and it will certainly not dethrone him from his Top Scorer position in Ligue 1.

So, please, more of Osimhen. We need all the Osimhen we can get, since some mod on Sports Section is not tired of posting Tammy news in different structures.

Leave Big Brother out of the discussion please

In Britain, they celebrate shows like Love Island, and nobody has said it is part of Britain's problem, but mob mentality will not allow you people leave Big Brother alone.

Has the show not empowered Nigerian youths that would have otherwise been left to rot? Is it not Big Brother money that someone like Miracle used to travel to US to further his dreams of flying an airplane? Is it not Big Brother that gave Alex a platform upon which she gained fame, so much she was able to travel to the New York Film Academy and learn acting and directing?

Please, anything you have scarce information on, it is advisable to not comment on it. There is NOTHING wrong with celebrating a reality show that has empowered hundreds of Nigerian youths, from the participants to even the crew, something the FG cannot do.

I don't watch big brother in the UK l find the show DEBASED and MORALLY BANKRUPT. l don't watch such superficial nonsense.

Do you really believe that this show has empowered Nigerian youth

Not everything that has a monetary benefit empowers or develops positively. It celebrates stupidity and superficial nonsense, it replaces positive diligent led aspiration with sheer stupidity.

It celebrates what should not be celebrated.

That's why l never watch it.

Fikayo Tomori and Tammy Abraham will begin their international careers with England this break.

I will not be diplomatic and wish them the best, I don't wish them the best. I wish they would leave our names out their mouth and stop using us to chase dead clout with the English press.

I wish Nairaland will stop posting them on Front Page, and I sincerely wish they bottle their international careers, since they couldn't get it without riding on the Nigerian Clout Train.

Very correct, they should stop gloating about their rejection of Nigeria, and I wish Seun can do something about this constant pushing of news about them to the front page.

You have given us another outcome delivery of the complete and endemic failure of government.

Tell me one sector in Nigeria that does not reflect the same symptoms. This problem exceeds football it is the Nigerian problem.

I finished high school in Nigeria and for a brief period l worked in an accounts department in a tertiary institution in Nigeria at my Father's request.

Corruption was endemic and rife l challenged it at great cost. In the end all the accounting staff were sacked apart from myself and the Chief accountant who in the middle of the night slaughtered a goat in satanic ritual. I left not long after that back to England, l could see that integrity and honesty were no longer attributes of commendation in Nigeria.

On this thread there is in depth resentment to diaspora Nigerians and or so called Foreign born Nigerians. But why l am at loss.

Meanwhile look at how our people take every insult under the sun, denigration and abuse to get a visa to leave the country. It's incomprehensible we show so much displeasure about foreign born Nigerians yet we want to get there.

A Nigerian owned TransGlobim International won a £500 million contract to build a railway line in Iraq. But couldn't even get off first Base in his own country. Even to get an MOU was like almost impossible with all kinds of delays and unnecessary bureaucracy.

We reject honesty and truth but welcome corruption, nepotism, illegality and government impunity. I watched how my former Governor after leaving prison was welcomed by the entire political elite at the highest levels.

Do you know it is very much easier I mean. VERY EASY for me to become an MP in England. But the depth of depravity l would have to go through to become a state house of assembly selected and then elected makes it impossible for me.

This problem exceeds football we need a change not of government but in ourselves. Until we change as a people we will get the rulers we deserve.

excuse me but the bold has been proven to be bogus. check out this link https://www.thecable.ng/fact-check-did-nigerian-engineer-win-500m-monorail-contract-in-iraq

You don't watch it is a personal choice.

That you don't watch it, means that you are certainly in no position, to talk about it, because you barely have knowledge of what ot is about. Stick to what you have proper knowledge of, or speak with a disclaimer next time. Don't make blatant accusations as if you have prior knowledge

I told you how the show has empowered people, and you limited it to making money. You think empowerment is all about money? Alex did not even win the show, but she had job opportunities at the end of the show. Do you know how many people have gained from her own opportunities? We are watching people like Ebuka and Gideon Okeke on our screens today, both of them, were first introduced to us on the show. The first winner, Katung, is an executive under Multichoice today.

You are blissfully unaware, and you have refused to make your deductions, but choose to hold on to your ignorant belief that the show is "morally bankrupt"....You don't sound like an educated person at all, when you make such statements.

Big Brother has nothing to do with the rot in Nigeria. Big Brother is not the cause of the blatant Bribery and Corruption in the country, it is not the reason for the leaders constantly siphoning funds, in fact, most people that hate the show, are part of the core reasons the country is rotten.

It is a normal thing for the most rotten of Nigerians, to also be highly sanctimonious as well, so, I am not surprised by the spread of ignorance

Like I said, if you don't know about something, it is best you do your research, or post a disclaimer, lest you do a disservice for your education

The investment was not made by those countries. It was made by private entities, the clubs. The clubs are the ones who develop players not the countries.
Clair Fontaine academy which produced the cream of the crop talents from France is owned by French Football Federation.
Segun Odegbami had called for Nigeria to have such centres in 6 geo political zones of the country some 15yrs ago but we are too lazy for those kind of projects.

Been there, done that. Sad.
Most of the talents around my generation never realised their potentials in sports.

Lots of them in East London either working as stewards at some of the stadiums under ‘low profile’. cool

We used to jog and train at West Ham park...not far from Upton Park. We got spotted. Got invited, but none of us had valid documents cheesy We never went back...one of us dared...with fake papers obtained from Woolwich arsenal. He got arrested and was deported.

We were all between 20-24 years then. By the time the immigration documents were sorted, none of us was fit.

OPPORTUNITY is everything without it no matter how good you are NUTTIN 4U sadly.

Opportunity will be linked to talent but overwhelmingly and intrinsically linked to what leverage your network can muster.

That network can be your agent, your friends and simply who you know.

There is a well known football pundit former Arsenal defender and England international. His son IMO was on the scale of ability about number 14/15 in the U18 at Reading fc very far from impressive. This was when Uche Ikpeazu was the highest goal scorer in the U18 league.

He was one of the first two to get a professional contract at Reading FC.

BTW @ Komekn, Big Brother partners with ONE.org every season, to get an ambassador to speak on key issues affecting the world today. The winners of the ONE.org challenge, also get to address the United Nations.

Did you know that?

So, don't say it is superficial. You have only heard of the superficial part of it and you came up with your conclusions based on your one-sided knowledge. When ignorant Nigerians make these deductions, I am not surprised, but you that studied in UK saying the same thing, is disgraceful.

Are all black people criminals? Are all Nigerians criminals? Your conclusions on the show is as defective as the conclusions people make about races and people without engaging them.

first the house where the housemates stayed would have been built by nigerian labourers and vendors. house accessories, food, drinks you name it provided by nigerian vendors.

Many people have used debased reality shows to create a career in media for themselves.

Notoriety sells and is a great marketing tool. That doesn't mean it's a positive contribution to societal development.

Specifically big brother is an outcome delivery of the multifaceted socio-economic degeneration of our values and expectations.

Go naked, have sex on TV and talk rubbish and you will.be celebrated and you will have career progression. That's not commendation but condemnation of how low we have sunk in our values.

But if you think it's an upstanding contributive component to our societal development. I leave you to your opinion even it's in the majority. The majority is often wrong.

Nigerians Will Not Be Too Pleased With Tomori’s Latest Comments

OCTOBER 9, 2019

Nigerians will not be too pleased with Fikayo Tomori’s latest comments after the Chelsea starlet insisted he is focused on becoming a full England international even if he does not get cap-tied this month.

Speaking at a press conference on Tuesday, the defender who is behind Harry Maguire and Michael Keane in the pecking order for central defence reiterated his stance on turning out for the Three Lions over Nigeria and Canada
“I think the call-up kind of solidifies that,” Tomori told reporters, including Sky Sports.

“Being eligible to play for three countries was, it depends on how you look at it, a good thing and a bad thing.

“Once I got the call-up to England there wasn’t a really a doubt in my mind that I was going to commit.

“Being here now, I just want to try and get my first cap and then try and get more after that as well.”

Tomori has made appearances at youth level for both Canada and England but the question about which country he chooses at senior level could all but be answered if Gareth Southgate hands him game time versus Czech Republic in their European Championship qualifier on Friday.

He will join Carlton Cole, Gabriel Agbonlahor, John Fashanu, Ross Barkley, Dele Alli amongst others to become Nigerians who elected to play for the European nation over the West African giant.

Who cares about morality wgere economic growth is concerned? The England komekn is living in, is it a society built on morals?

Big Brother has done so much good for the country, and someone wants to come here and slate the show because he is offended by the sight of boobs and the mention of sex. Prostitution is legal in parts of Europe that we should be modeling our society after, those are progressive nations.

You are worried about morality in the poverty capital of the world, the nerve!

I listed all the job opportunities participants get. Someone like Mike came all the way from UK to participate on the show, you think he'a broke? You think he's foolish?

The owner of the first black-owned cigar brand in UK left his base to come for an 'immoral' show, and you think he doesn't have sense?

It does not matrer what is said to you, I don't know which opportunities you expect. Aside financial opportunities, what else does playing football bring for the footballers? Answer me this and I will educate you and komekn better on your faulty positions.
