Hello Everyone. I just got an email saying my application has been concluded. I applied for the priority visa on Friday (4th October). My question is this; after getting this email, does anyone know how long it takes for the document to get transferred back to the VAC and for pickup?

Give it a week, by this time next week, you would have gotten an email for pickup.

My respected forum members, thank you for the good works. I was denied UK visa few months back due to inadequate fund and I am planning to apply again. My question is how do I book for hotel or airbnb apartment without paying in advance. Someone help me with the booking in my last application. I intend to do everything myself now.

How long did it take them to refund you?

customised87:

This happened when I tried to book appointment for my sis. Your best bet is to re-do the appointment, you will get a message that you would make payment at the TLS centre, you ll be able to choose a date that way. Afterwards, go to contact us and shoot them a message, they will reply with a rebate form to be filled for the processing of your refund.

@1blessing

Your budget is for how many days?

I think the no of days you want to spend will help determine if your budget is ok.

the budget looks good for a 10days vacation cos I applied for 10days vacation and our budget is almost d same except that I didn't include shopping so mine stays @ GBP 1,110. My monthly income average is 500k and my monthly expenses is 125k.

Also, show proof of transfers of all these money entering your account, pay slip, transaction page from sender, etc.

Lastly, for a single mom of three going on a vacation alone, I have a feeling you might need to put some explanation on this too and who will be looking after the children when while you're on vacation?

Note that I'm just using the knowledge gathered from reading through this thread to relate your case since you said it is urgent and no one replied you yet. I be new applicant too and my decision is still pending.

I wish you luck

I suppose you have fill your online application right?

If that is the case, then you may not make adjustments. whatever you have filled in your application is what you will elaborate in your cover letter.

What is enough will depend on:

- your opening and closing balance on your 6 months statement of account
- monthly income vs monthly expenditure (You are not suppose to spend more than 2ce your disposable income on a short vacation).

Your budget of 1590 GBP is about 715,000NGN. If half of 715,000NGN is less than your monthly disposable income then your budget seems ok but if it is higher you have to work your budget to reflect your present financial capability.

I'd like to chip in some pointers:
1. These loans to friends/family, are they often returned?
Unless "these loans" are gifts, they shouldn't count as monthly expense. You need to address this on your cover letter and mention what & what are loans and when they'll be returned and if any has ever been returned, that should go some way. This helps reduce your monthly living expense. If they're gifts, different ball game.

2. This means you earn 478k/month.
You need to explain how you earn this side income and also, show that you get at least 178k per month from that; I'd suggest you work with the minimum side income instead of the average. Here, minimum will help you present a more realistic financial proof than average.

3. Is your rent calculated in your NGN160,000/month living expense?
If no, here's what to do: divide it by 12 and then, you can effectively show what your rent is on a monthly basis and also explain that your rent is annualized and not monthly but it costs so so and so per month which at a certain time in a year (indicate when you usually pay your rent), you pay in bulk to your landlord.

4. NGN1,000,000 is too much (per UKVI consideration) to spend on a trip.
I mean, it's your money but it's their rules. So you need to reduce the amount you've budgeted per expense category. Because you didn't specify the details of the different expense category, I can't say much about this but even without the knowledge of that, I think you need to cut your budget in 2, for starters.

You've got a Leave Allowance? If so, should also help.

Good luck!

Thanks for your input. It's been really helpful.

Regarding the living monthly expenses. Does one-off purchases like electronics etc count towards it?

And yes, I have a leave allowance of 100k. But it wasn't mentioned during the first application, I feel like bringing it up now may look a bit weird. What do you think?

Please help why I is no one responding to some of my worries. I am getting frustrated on tgis and fear not to be debited. Enlighten me on what to do cos the pagestilldisplays PAYMENT PENDING amd I want to make adjustments on the application due to what I claimed for cost of expenditure in UK
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Suuz: 9:05pm On Oct 10, 2019
When explaining your finances, just try to make it as straight forward as possible, for example;
Inflow of Funds into my account in the last six months are ;
1) Salary is X
2) Monthly upkeep of X for the kids from their Father(put father’s Name).
3) Summer Money (X) for the kids from their father
4) Income made from side business a b c... blah blah blah.
You also don’t need to explain the N30,000 , it’s not huge compared to the bigger amount that has been going in.

How long are you staying? Your budget depends on how how long you plan to stay.

If the application is still open for you to be able to edit, then go ahead and edit it, that means your payment hasn’t gone through then.

You're welcome.

One-off purchases count as expense. I'm not just certain at this time how you should go about explaining it. Hopefully, others can weigh in on this.

If your leave allowance appears on your statement as such, I don't see it looking a bit weird. Perhaps there will be the "why didn't you indicate this in your initial application?" but that's "curious" not a "bit weird"; if it shows on your statement & you also explain it in your cover letter, that should take the curious away.
