Who told you that lightening cannot kill you in your room? Go online to do little research. You are more likely to be killed indirectly by lightening in your room under certain circumstances. Please use Google. We all learn something new every day.

Lightning would not strike a person within a hotel room without any building or property damage?

The fact of the story is that someone died in a hotel room.

It is for the relevant agencies to determine whether the person's death was as a result of natural causes, an accident, suicide or murder.

Hotels like this tend to have faulty wires all around.
