seunmsg: Going from what you stated, here's the math: 11% increment translates to 1.11 X 121,000 = 134,310 Therefore, new take home pay = 134,310NGN Thanks. 8 Likes 1 Share |

Donpenny: You're right about the agencies under ministry of interior but I haven't seen any civil defense, immigration, prison or fire officer at level 8 step 2 receiving up to 120k. Perhaps 120k or 123k is stated in the appointment letter but what gets to you at the end of the month is roughly between 115k and 119k at most but never upto 120k for any level 8 step 2. 2 Likes |

People just conclude without asking questions. He said an agency under a ministry. That's the salary of most paramilitary na. Information is power, but Nigerians will never be quiet to get information. Op, it depends on the percentage FG agrees on, so far FG is offering 11%, Labour is insisting on 29% for 7-12. Wait till 15th Oct to know the actual percentage. 7 Likes 1 Share |

OyiboOyibo: Not of 30k o, 29.5% of your current salary, when u get it, u add it to your current salary. 29% of 121000 is 35090,plus 121000= 156090. So going by Labour offer of 29% increment, his new salary will be #156,090 |

bluefilm: Labour will never agree to 11% increment. They already rejected it. Op is most likely in the paramilitary, so after risking his life to keep others safe, u will coman give him paltry 11%, for what!!! 1 Like |

olasunkanmimart: Ministry of Edu. salary isn't bad too. FCE, Fed Polys and Fed Unis all uses Consolidated too but not up to 100k for Bsc. Its 95+ b4 deduction for CONTEDISS 7:3 but interior pays well. 2 Likes 1 Share |

By virtues of increase from 18000 to 30000, it corresponds to about (30,000 - 18,000)/18,000 = 66.67%. So the increase in your salary will be 1.6667 * 121,000 = 201,670.7 So the increase implies your new salary will be 201,670.70. So the new minimum wage should correspond to an increase of about 100,000. So apparently Nigeria is just not ready for that increase. |

cashcity:. If you work for Federal government your Level 7 will be close to 80 or 90 k. while level 8 will be close to 115k or close to 120k However regardless of the money as from Level 7 you are a Senior Staff. .The government wants to pay 9% of your present salary as an addition to your real salary as from level 7 to 11....So if your money is 120k just add 9% of the money to it.You get your new salary. As from Level 12 and above is 5% addition. The NLC does not want that increase. It is proposing 30%increase for Level 7 to 15.....If fully applied Level 1 will get 30k while level 6 will get about 70 or 80k. 1 Like |

lloyds:No sir, elementary maths will tell u that 18 is greater than 12 if you are to subtract from 30. and if you are using % to measure, then you will understand that 18 is 60% of 30 & 12 is 40% of 30 then deduce the difference. So 12k + 18k= 30k, hence, the 40% increment. |

Firstly VAT are not charged on salaries but on goods purchased. Secondly, the new minimum wage derivatives will be based on the basic salaries ( check your payslip to know what your basic pay is). 11thGoldTREE: 1 Like |
