Camry with 2GR are faster and responds to throttle input quickly, ES350 takes its time cos its mapped to produce luxury feel, no surging of the executive passengers. Same thing with ES300/330. But RX300, 330 and 350 are responsive too. Rav4 whether in i4 or V6 variants are quick and responsive but I get scared that they're not stable on speeds unlike RXs which doesn't get me scared at all. I discovered the brakes of ES300/330 and 350, and Avalons are wack. They don't engage as anticipated and have a lot of pedal travel. Unlike the RXs and Camrys. The mappings of their ECU is to blame. The U151E/F transmission is a 'thinking' and confused transmission. It doesn't downshift quickly but it quickly upshifts and also haunts gears. When you rapidly decelerate close to 19km/h and throttle again, your discover it is just there no downshift.. Its thinking what's the dumbass driver trying to do? But U660E/F are quick shifters. No time to think, they get the work done promptly. 6 Likes |

Update: I had to change one for an RX350 last two weeks and can confirm that the metal pipe is now available at Ladipo market. A used one though, and probably with crappy gaskets. But available, nonetheless. 1 Like |
