Hello everyone,
Wow its becoming harder and harder to keep up wit the trend here.
It's been one week since I've been in Germany and I can say. Its all worth it. I remember wat I went tru for admission and the wait for AM, even my flight here was nt funny. Bt as I settle in to my day to day activities. I can see wat all the fuss is abt.
Everything is jst easier here.
Whatever stage u are in the application process, jst be patient. It wunt be easy and u might want to give up..don't. If u don't succeed the first time, jst keep trying, its neva too late.
Greeting frm Jena Germany
Ciao

Hello guys, this German waka is really worth the stress. Keep pushing!

Received my visum on 7th.
Travelled to Port Harcourt on 8th.
Flew Turkish airline to Dusseldorf On 9th.
Went to my school for enrolment on 10th. Have gotten my semester ticket already.
Lectures start on 14th.

These Germans, atleast the ones I've met so far, are super nice. And a lot of them speak English too.

God will perfect everything for us all. He always comes through. Tschüss!

How encouraging

I cancelled the appointment since August and my school extended the admission till Dec which i already changed to but till now no message from the embassy. i sent a mail to them with the letter from the school.

sassy92:

Cancel and book with your new enrollment date. But the truth is that those who have gotten AD recently are those who use December as deadline. So find out from your school if they can still extend your enrollment to December or allow you to enrol by proxy. If they refuse, start seeking deferment for summer.

What date did you used when you rebooked? Did you use December? If yes just try and chill, but if no rebook with that date.
Have you enrolled? If yes, try and send the embassy a mail attaching the Enrolment certificate, BA Confirmation and AL. ..Just a suggestion oooh
The truth is that there is nothing anyone can do except the suggestions
Best Wishes

The waka no easy, you just have to be strong! The wait can kill you bro, so just book an appointment and go on with your life, don't wait on it. If it comes in great, if it doesn't then have a back up plan, summer admission, etc.

Goodday all gurus in the house ,
Pls during the cause of AD issue around aug., I mail my sch for EXTENSION/deferment. And I got this mail. Now I have Interview on the 16th. Using dec2 as start date after several rebooking without date.
Just curious of my chances, and the start date to use during interview etc. tho I have done the online enrollment.

Dear Mr XYZ,
Online enrollment must be done before 30th September, 2019 if you want to enroll for this winter semester.

The latest day for personal enrollment is Dec 2nd. After 2nd of December 2019, personal enrollment will no longer be possible.

In addition, please note that the Dairy Science lectures start at October 21, 2019.

In up to 4 of 5 courses of the winter semester participation in the first lecture in October is mandatory!

Late arrival does not exempt you from these prerequisites. If you do not participate, you will not be allowed to do the exam, which will then prolong your overall study time.

Hence, enrollment until 17th of October 2019 is highly recommended!

The other possibility would be to start your studies next year.

Please be aware that we cannot postpone the current admission, i.e. you will have to hand in a new application. We also cannot guarantee that you will be admitted again next year, but the chances are in general good if you had been admitted this year.

Guys, I have been in jena for three days now. This city is a very cossy one.

I doubt if there's any university in Germany that is as nice as friedrich Schiller university Jena.

Very nice school... It has tailor-made everything to make life easy for a first timer like me.

They have German classes for just 20 euro per semester...

To all those planning on coming here, I don't have much to say. All I have to say is... do everything you can to live Nigeria. even if it is not to Germany... just leave. .
Just three days in a small city like Jena and my perspectives have changed.

God help Nigeria meeeeen

Hello Everyone,

I have been in Germany (Ingolstadt) for a week now and all I can say is every single struggle is worth it.

I’d like to advise on some issues;

Firstly when you’re selecting your course or study try to focus on the bigger cities. They’re usually easier to live in and more job opportunity plus most of them speak English.

I used Turkish airline and my experience with them was really bad. The plane didn’t arrive at MMA until after two hours of the departure time. Most of us missed our connecting flight and spent long hours at the Turkish Airport.

Try and come with some basic amenities like head warmer, gloves, winter jacket, money, bed sheet, extension, winter socks, winter boot etc. [Note: the Germans use type F electrical outlet, if possible get them before coming)

Try and secure you accommodation before coming, if not you might find it difficult.

If possible learn the language and start studying from Nigeria. Here they’re very precise and time cautious. The semester will start the day advised and lectures will start so try to arrive as soon as possible.

Let me know if you have any questions.
