You are not alone on this. A relative had his biometrics on September 17th and got the conclusion email on October 8th. His online account still shows that the decision has not been transferred to VAC. He too paid for courier delivery.

Same situation with mine. Got the concluded mail on 27th August yet passport has not been returned till date.

I filled the application withdrawal form at TLS today.

I need my passport back.

Complaint on the website, wrote UK , called UK and still no passport. I was shocked to meet peeps whose passport was held for 7 months and one held since 2017.

Rubbish!!!

UK visa application is becoming a mess like some other countries with not so good track record. I used to credit them for prompt treatment of applications, though with ridiculous charges. He has sent message to tlscontact nigeria (UK in Nigeria).

Ridiculous charges, everything is money for them. So annoying. Sometimes I feel if you don't pay for any of those their charges, they will look for how to deny you visa lipsrsealed undecided

@Candybright,

I hold a different view o. Yes they have been a bit tardy of late, probably due to the high application rate, however, they won't deny you if you faqil to take benefit of the added services.

This my last renewal, I only paid the cost of the visa. I did self service, no priority, no premium lounge, no courier fees. Nothing at all. I didn't and have never even included a cover letter yet I got it

If you want a response, you will tell us a lot about your application, your situation, your husband situation, the Visa outcome, how many people applied for the dependant visa.

Give us the full story to advise you accordingly.

Did you get the application concluded email? I had to go to TLSContact to ask them to bring back my passport. I hadn't gotten the email for a pickup but my flight was booked for the following day. Went there at 10 am, told them it was urgent and emphasized that I paid for a priority service. They asked me to come back by 2 and I got it.

If the five days have elapsed, you'll probably get it on Monday. (Especially if you've gotten the mail that the processing has been completed). If not, you may need to go there to try to fast track it.
Picked up today and we all got the visa. Yayy. Tier 2 though.
I still didn’t get the complete email. I got an email past 2pm from TLS for pickup and I picked up an hour later.
Thank you to the elders in this thread that have been helping people. God will always come through for you guys too.

Hello,

Please i need some clarification on UK Work Visa Tier 2.

Is it possible to get a job while still in Nigeria to process the Tier 2 visa?

How easy is it getting the Visa?

Thanks.

Yes, it is possible to get a job offer from the U.K. while you are in Nigeria but the job must be on the shortage occupational list which you look through on UKVI website.

I’m a nurse, and I will be going to the U.K. via this Tier2 Visa.. one you secure employment then the employer will raise a certificate of sponsorship on your behalf to the home office which will cost your employer about £3000.. as soon as a this is done you will use this document to apply for your tier2 visa with other relevant documents according to your profession..

for me; I submitted, evidence of passing IELTS, Police clearance certificate, TB screening, and the job offer letter. You wouldn’t need account if your sponsor has stated on you COS that they will take care of your maintenance..

Thus, all you need to do is to check if your occupation is on the shortage list and look for an employer that can offer you employment and process your COS.

Hi,

My MIL's passport was delivered today and her 6 month uk visit visa was approved - Praise God. She is a full time house-wife, no travel history and i mentioned she will be staying for 3 and half months. I learnt from other people's experience so thanks to everyone for giving back and answering various questions.

Documents from her
-----------------------------
Bank statement - shows few savings as FIL gives her monthly stipends
Birth cert of children & grandchildren
Few family pics
Letter from church mentioning the post she holds etc

Doc from me
----------------
Invitation Letter - stating also i will be covering the full cost of her trip, she will be staying with us etc.......
Current and Saving acct
Employment letter
Payslip
Council tax, Energy bill
Passport - me and wife
BRP card - me and wife
Tenancy Agreement
Birth cert of our new born

Doc from FIL
---------------
Consent letter - giving mum permission to travel, mentioning she gives her monthly income etc.......
Bank statement
Pension Letter, Pension identity card
Land deed
Shares docs

I mentioned the cost of her trip for 3.5 months is £3,500 and i will be covering the cost. I was also called by the ECO and asked few questions about how long she will be staying, what she does, who is covering her trip, my immigration status, what FIL does...etc...

Thank you Hosey for your response. It is a Tier 2 general visa.
Tell us a lot about your application, your situation, your husband situation,The wife is the primary applicant. The husband has a love child that the family would like to add as a dependant. The child has not been adopted legally by the wife, however, the baby mama is willing to give her consent for the child to be taken to the UK.
The Visa outcome The family is yet to apply for the visa, still gathering the necessary documents including medicals and english language assessment for the primary applicant
How many people applied for the dependant visa Four people will be applying for the dependant visa including the love child. The primary applicant (wife) would like to know the documents required for the love child so that the application will be successful and meet the following requirements of the UK’s immigration rules:
Both of child’s parents must either be lawfully present in the UK, or being granted entry clearance or leave to remain at the same time, or one parent must be lawfully present in the UK and the other being granted entry clearance or leave to remain at the same time as child, unless the relevant points based system migrant

I. is child’s sole surviving parent, or

II. has and has had sole responsibility for child’s upbringing, or

III. there are serious or compelling family or other considerations which would make it desirable not to refuse the application and suitable arrangements have been made in the UK for child’s care..

If na you, will you give her visa bro? You were given because she is part of your ties to Nigeria and you said na only you de go. The advice is: Go alone, when you are back, apply for her alone too. If you apply again for her and gets denied, it will be difficult to scale through a potential migrant.

Hi All.
Visa type: Visit (family)
Timeline: Biometric: sept 17
Concluded: October 6
Passport ready for pick up: October 15.
Outcome: Denied

I applied for a month's visit visa to visit my family - (my parents and brother). One of the reasons was to see them, while the other was for my moms graduation earlier this month.
My parents are citizens while my brother has a permanent residency.
I just picked up my application yesterday and it was denied due to 2 ridiculous reasons.
1. My sponsor (mom) does not have enough money in her joint account with my dad to donate 800 pounds to my flight which was mentioned in my application.
2. I do not have up to the money I claimed I had in my savings.

Now, I say the reasons were ridiculous because, I submitted two accounts for my sponsor (mom) as supporting documents:

1. Joint account with my dad which had 63 pounds balance, which was the one they checked. But the purpose of this was only to show my parents were married and share a joint account.

2. My moms personal account which had enough money about 4000pounds to cover the 800pounds flight cost.

So obviously, they only checked one account and did not check the main account and assumed she does not have any money of her own.

Secondly, in the form, I declared a savings of 7k pounds and I submitted my 3 bank accounts to support this.
They miraculously checked and mentioned only one bank account which had just 4k pounds in it.
And they claimed, the 4k was not up to the 7k savings I claimed.
For Gods sake, I submitted 3 personal bank accounts and 1 company account. They claimed I submitted 2 accounts, 1 for company and 1 personal with the 4k savings.

Also, I did write a brief but comprehensive cover letter detailing everything and the supporting documents attached.

I registered my company in May, and prior to that all business transactions have been going through my personal account. All these was explained, with proof of earnings and the source, but they obviously did not check and of that and only cherry picked what they want and made a decision that does not add up. They claimed I was self-employed, I am not self-employed. I am employed by my company and payslip of monthly salary of 360k per month was attached.

Also, they mentioned they are not satisfied my sponsor will provide financial support to me during my stay. I never said she would.
My mom is only contributing 800pounds to the budget of 2k pounds. The 800 was only for my flight (which isn't a cost I can't even handle myself, she only planned to do that as a gift). I also included in my cover letter than the rest of the travel expense (1.4k pounds) will be covered by me for accommodation and feeding as I planned to rent an hotel close to where they live.

Now, the thing is I am not desperate to go to the UK, I really don't care as it was just to visit my family, however, all the reasons they refused me for were incorrect.

Do you guys advise me to reapply immediately to contest the decision?

I am thinking if I leave it and apply at a later time, it may confirm their thinking that their decision was right and that I and mom really do not have the funds.

Secondly, if I reapply now, how can I ensure that they check all the documents I submitted especially since it is obvious that they do not check a lot of the supporting documents and cover letter? Where should I put the details they failed to check? If I put all this in another cover letter for the new application, what's to say they will check or not even refuse again?

I await your views.
Thanks a lot.

Everything is good. Since the husband is the father of the love child and the baby mama will give consent.

The husband should be the primary applicant. Submit all relevant family pictures, documentations, birth certificates e.t.c.

They will not grant the 'love child' dependant child visa if the mother is the primary applicant.

They are not related. However, if she adopts the child legally, then she can apply for the child visa for the love child as she is now the mother of d child.
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 4 by Healhtyliving: 2:46pm On Oct 16, 2019
Do you mean the child may be denied visa since the wife who is not the mother is the primary applicant? The following documents have been gathered so far and the family is considering giving the application a trial as they can not afford to leave the child behind
1) Sworn affidavit by the father in the high court stating the reasons why he isn't married to the baby mama including how he has been solely responsible for the upkeep of the child, that the child has been living with him as part of his family since marrying his wife;
2) Letter from the child's school that the father is the only parent responsible for the child's school fees and attends all schools activities;
3) Cover note from the wife(primary applicant) on how it will be emotionally difficult for other siblings to cope without their sister in the UK and how the child has been part of the family since getting married to the dad;
4) Marriage certificate showing the man was single with a child before marriage;
5) Father's bank statement showing payment of school fees;
6) Consent letter from the baby mama.
Is there any other documents/support left out?
Has anyone made this kind of application before?
