10m is big but in our country it can do very little , becos every Nigerian is his own govt. We provide food, clothing, shelter, electricity, roads, health care and education for ourselves.

We even go as far as buying land and property for our unborn generation to give them a fighting chance.

10m cannot pay for a shop in that ochanga market, that 1.2m can only help u pay rent.find out.
Can you stop scaring people off? 10m will do alot in Nigeria.

Even 2m plus common sense it will go along way.

Carry that 10m go abroad and in few months you will see how useless/empty it will become, then you will realize the power of 10m in Nigeria.

What business are you into sef?

u people are missing the point here ,He didn't say 10m is not lot of money ,he said it wouldn't give u that dream live u aspire for immediately ....example 10m u can buy an apartment 8.5m in festac and a tiny light 1m money done finish or rent buy a shop in market like 5m then stock the shop with 5m....meaning if u want a average modest home in a leading city in Nigeria u need around 15m

I agreed with you but not everybody want to live in lagos where properties is overhyped.

I want him to know that with 10m some people will live their best life with it

He was even saying 10m 28k usd has more buying power in the US than Nigeria.

Anyways to some very rich folks 10m is a little money but he need to stop condemning it abeg.

Most of the land/properties in Lagos and Abuja are over-hyped.
I don't know about USA, but 10m is not a little money in Nigeria. It is a lot of money in Yenagoa of today.

You cannot get the same products/ services you get with your #10 mil in USA in Nigeria. I don't know why you are saying that things are cheap in Nigeria? Can you buy iphone, car etc in Nigeria? You are using high tax to judge. Nigerians pay tax but they don't get what they paid for. Check Mississippi.

As you are do you know what a war zone is? I also served in the north . Where they termed volatile taraba. What the north is experiencing now, Warri has experienced it in the past- we called it crises not war zone. For book haram issue, that one is for another day.- it’s crisis that some are benefiting from, not a war zone period.
If u like call it crises or war zone or quarrel or conflict, truth is, all is not well at all.

Did taraba see boko haram.....abegi, let's not derail this thread. our father's used to say , A PROBLEM KNOWN , IS A PROBLEM HALF SOLVED.

U said warri did what.....be guided ooh. Boko haram is an internationally sponsored TERRORIST GROUP.

Lol...

how many people earn 100k salary in Nigeria?

10m can pay someone 100k monthly via tbills.

10m is a lifetime income that many Nigerians can not aspire to reach.

lets be practical pls.

it will take a man earning 100k/mo nearly 20 years to save 10m and thats if he can save 50%/mo.

you can set up one palm oil mill with N1m every year with 10m in tbills.

not everyone wants to live in gra or drive venza or build gaint house.

Lol. IPhone and Car?

How much is iPhone in the US, how much is it here.
Now, how much are native fabrics in Nigeria, how pmuch do they sell them in the US?

Comparative advantages force the prices cheaper in each location. So, don't use iPhone as a yardstick.

What determines what 10M can do for you is what you decide to spend it on. 10M with prudence can go a long way and 50M without prudence is nothing.

There are alot of Big men on this thread thats why 10m looks small to them..
Realistically how many persons can boost of such amount not on this page... if you can, you are a abit safe above average .
Most individuals strive to attain a 10m figure and once that is done they see that as being secured of atleast 100k return of investment..
Last last we go they alright

Thank u jor... u and my oga @ ahiboilandgas understand .

These guyz above don't even know how the whole 10m gist started. Let me repeat 10m is A lot of money , but not enough to give u that life esp. In Nigeria.

It's on record that only abt 5% of Nigerians have above 500k savings/deposits in banks, so why will i say it's not money. But in the Nigerian contest it can do little. It can't buy u land in a nice area in asaba talkless of lagos or abuja.

I am from a modest middle class family but exposure has tot me that I need much more if I want to give my kids standards and live my dream in naija.

Research first before u come here to type.

Which big men? How many of our parents had the equivalent of 10M cash as at when they trained us?
How many Nigerians have that 10M sef?

Don't let anyone mislead you.
10M is a whole whole lot which can be used to achieve much.

Why are you surprised?. She is most active in the politics, crime and celebrities sections where irrelevant round and round arguments take place.

You know some people do not read to get the flow of a discussion before jumping in to comnent. They just jump in, make a comment on one post and jump out.

Btw, the word 'most' was used in the original post and you know English comprehension can be very tricky to comprehend espercially with our current standard of education.

Anyway, back to learning mode on the very enriching N10m vs USD 28k lively and highly educating discussion.

Personal 3experience: i travelled to UK 2016 November/december, i changed 600 naira to a pound and was drinking a glass of beer 4 pounds. That means i was drinking a glass which is less than 60cl for 2400 naira compared to 250 or 300 naira, same beer with even less alcoholic content. To the topic, 10m in naijja is worth more than 28k dollars on America. My sis just bought a 2 bedroom flat and the cost if converted is 87m naira, who does that? Thats the reason i dont want to move my family over. As for peace, e boku for akwa ibom. My humble suggestion, you can argue with your personal experience.

you will always go wrong while trying to compare U.S and Nigeria. In the U.S you don't really need 28kusd to live. You can live on a zero dollar in as much you're credit worthy.
90 percent of Americans don't have up to 1kusd in their bank account, but they are still able to afford big cars and comfortable lifestyle.

10m naira is not ordinary. It's a life changer if you know what you are doing.
