Very true. Underemployment is a separate topic on its own, I can bet a large % of people working fall into that category. There is something very wrong with our country.

Gather a little amount of money. Start small business by yourself.

Don't give up. Continue trying even while exploring other avenues. Good luck.

One once said he would do aeronautic engineering as if that course is even viable in Nigeria. Las las he ended with medicine.

There are courses one can do which would never secure any practical work. Courses like zoology, microbiology, botany, biotechnology etc. You go waka tire.

That is not completely true. Many people who are making a great success of their careers did not study anything remotely related to what they do. There are some specialist areas, agreed, but besides that it is a free for all - it's about your competences and how you demonstrate those.

Besides, even the so called courses that you consider advantageous, how many graduates of those courses have jobs?

The only people suffering in naija are the so called graduates, they are so full of themselves,they all want to wear tie, even in develop countries no space for all educated people in the office,this is not about this guy, black people are very lazy..am telling you fact home and abroad.

I had to borrow myself brain when I saw payslip of the principal of where I served, Oga was collecting 26k in this economy with several years of experience though it was in a peri-urban area

FYI I graduated with a strong 2.1, the kind which remain small to enter first class. Am currently into all sort of business way graduate are too prideful to do & packaging it while making more profit

Have you decided to remain in Abuja, as you mentioned relocating to Ibadan at a point. You also mentioned you had learnt how to make shoes and wouldn't mind getting a shop, also mentioned a pure water factory. I am trying to understand what is your plan.

thanks ma.. I'm ready to move down to ibadan permanently to at least get something to do there even if it's Keke napep driving. I can also stay back here in Abuja if I get Little fund to get a shop and start up with my shoe making.

Here in Lagos,keke drivers make upto 5-10k GAIN daily depending on the location.

It's as if u are jealous of graduates! Give practical ideal of wot u are talking about & lets b reasonable to some extent.
Whether now or later, we'll all pay heavily when a lot of jobless youths ventures into short cut to survive.

Am seriously suffering. At 31 am still squatting. Am through with my service since 2014 but still no job. Am more than depressed... Am perplexed and am not thinking well. At my age I don't have even 1000 in my account. To eat, I have to visit friends...most times is just only breakfast and water at night. I don't want to die this way.. Am not happy. I applied civil defense. Don't know if anyone can help me.. Or any job.

I understand your plight bro. In a situation whereby you can't secure a job with your degree or acquire additional skills and certifications, not to talk of advancing your degree because of lack of fund but you gotta keep your head up. Forget about your certificate and enter street. So many graduates are going through the same condition but the street has been sustaining them. When i say street i don't mean engaging in internet scam or any sort of crime. I mean legit business through which God can prosper you. Learn a trade or skill as an apprentice assisting someone.

Bros You won't understand,sometimes the thought of being broke can be very suicidal especially when age is no longer by your side.I was once been in his shoes before.At some point,i was nursing the idea of going into rituals,yahoo yahoo,even selling my kidney,it was really frustrating.

What prompted all these was i invested all my savings in a ponzi scheme(200k) vanished


As a graduate,right now,i can only boast of 250,000 in my account *sad*
