Ok. According to you, somethings are justifiable as long as it’s done in line with self preservation.

I hope you don’t criticize the current state of our country of origin sha? Yahoo boys, politicians, kidnappers, corrupt officials, etc...from their perspective all na self preservation.

I’m a sinner o, but I will not come out in public and justify sin because I know that a sin is a sin. We are all adults that know right from wrong, let’s not pretend that we don’t.

The concept is not too hard to understand. Eating is sort of human nature.

The question we should be asking really is how did someone like "maternal" get into Canada...

Very uncultured individual...

While I agree he can be uncouth (me sef don call am out in the past) in his approach to a discourse, you definitely can't knock the finer points of his argument, especially on this current topic of refugees/elections/Canadian workplace.

The older I become and the more I travel (experience other cultures), there's one truth that becomes more glaring - humans are the same everywhere. It can be very difficult to judge a situation or matter without knowing the background story (I'm still guilty of this, but getting there slowly...).

PS: On a lighter note, those of you at the back that borrowed money from family/friends to make up your POF or changed that line or role in your resume (trust me, I see some LinkedIn profiles of former colleagues and I scream...Lol), oya come out from your hiding place.

Is the role changing to get a job or get PR?
A friend did exactly this not long after we landed. My guy padded his resume, scaled the interview and got a job at a construction firm as a project coordinator. Has a PM masters from Europe, and a certification he just have passed using dumps so the interview must have been a sort of walkover, but his real life PM experience was meh. He was struggling at work and was fired after 6 weeks cheesy

I did not say anywhere that wrong is justifiable. If you actually read what I say to understand my perspective and not to find a clap back for argument, you'd see that I do not stand for evil and I've always said that wrong is wrong

All I keep saying is that you shouldn't sit on your high horse and get to judge other people. If you're a Christian, the holy book says to 'remove the log of wood in your own eyes before finding the speck in your neighbor's eyes.'

Bottom line : Don't Judge people. You don't know their stories.

Hi everyone, away from the back and forth that the concluded election has caused. Abeg, how lucrative is a CPP(certified payroll professional) certificate in Canada. A friend in Alberta just informed me that people who show interest in this certificate will get stipend from the government even with the fact that the course itself is government paid. Has anyone done CPP here?

Saying same thing just bringing it into perspective, that we all left a country in ruins crying about corruption and bad leadership, while our leaders are a reflection of us.

The Nigerian problem is not the country,it’s the people.
We changed one line on our Jd or borrowed money to make up POF, amongst other stuff but does that make it right? NO!

My point is, the moment it becomes justifiable with “don’t judge” then that’s hypocrisy right there.
Sin your sin and accept it with your chest.

Most of all, know it for it is. Wrong can never be right, no matter how many English one speaks around it.

I am so sorry for the late reply, I couldn't get hold of her.
She said you should call them that they will give you an account number to pay into after which they will confirm the payment. She also advised that you shouldn't just pay into the account without calling them first as you may encounter issues.

It's funny how your used the word padded, probably maybe in your own reasoning, it's not a big deal.

Let's call it what it is. It's lying and misrepresentation of information which is no different from those misrepresenting information in the refugee process.

I know a lot of people that borrowed money for POF.
We can't call it a gift as you are not meant to pay back gifts. What's the difference between these category of people that got in through express entry and those claiming refugee.

They are both gaming the system. One is not worse or better than the other grin

What is wrong is wrong, let's leave all the hypocrisy aside

QED.
That is why I mentioned earlier that it is not for us to judge. Let's leave the decision on who is a genuine refugee or not to the Immigration judge.

Mostly done to get a job in Canada. Lol...I can imagine how the guy must have struggled - coordinating/managing projects isn't a walk in the park, like most people assume. And you're right about the POF - Canada, especially Toronto, can be very expensive. Anyway, I see things have degenerated into insults here, so I'll step back.

It's kind of easy to to know when cops are around. Drivers ahead of you will suddenly start slamming on the brakes when they spot cameras or cops. grin

Tickets in the mail are still okay, but the ones handed out by cops are not. They go on record - demerits. Alot of technical jobs would ask for driver's abstract and that is where it comes back to hunt some people.

Google can be inneffective at times, because the city would often move the cameras around. Some cops also hide behind street light post or signboards with their laser guns.

I still do not understand how she had to be alone, and how the suspect got hold of a sharp object.

I worked as a security personnel with AHS years ago and witnessed how the kids from homes behave. They can become violent when agitated or angry, and the support workers would immediately call the police. When they are being escorted by the police and their support workers (usually two workers) from homes to the hospital, the disturbed kids would fight, kick, punch, and some very bad ones would even spit during handover by CPS to security personnels, psych nurses and doctors at either the Children's hospital or South Health Campus. We would often restrain some to the bed till they are calm. They would get well after spending a week or two at the hospital, return to the homes and be brought back a few weeks later for disturbance and the cycle keeps repeating.

I hope those homes are not having troubles with funding, thereby cutting staff numbers and making the jobs of the case workers more dangerous than it should be. For the kid to be in a home, there is an high chance he is being seen occasionally by a Psychiatrist; hence, may likely walk free.

Like New Zealand, Canada needs a ban on foreign home ownership. If a country wide ban can't be imposed, a region wide ban would be appropriate. If a region wide ban can't be imposed, the tax should be bumped up to 40%.
