You missed two - 1. The interview is just for show. They've already decided on who they want. 2. You don't know any important person in the company. Real interview question: "Who do you know in this company?" I was asked this at Ajah, in a private company. Now imagine how weighty this factor will be in a government org. 1 Like |

The trouble of getting and keeping a job is too much, unless you are a professional or consultant it can be frustrating and eventually become very boring. I used to work with a multinational but couldn't keep up with the politics (man know man), pretending to be who a not to please my boss was eating me deep inside. I was eventually laid off months after I got married and expecting a baby. For months i saw my savings went down in Geometric progression I eventually joined the Uber platform now I can pay my Bill's without kissing anyone's ass Check my signature to be an uber partner. 3 Likes |

dayo2me: If you meet up with all the above.... you will get a job within a month max. Even if it were true ....only people that know people is the way to get a job in Naija ..... the article addressed how to make that connection. As stated earlier .... if not being called after interviewsss.... you need to seriously look in the mirror and ask yourself why?..... then you should go through these 12 points to see where you are failing. @ topic.... sooo many similar topics on scoring a job.... but I think by farrr.... this is the best... and most appropriate for Naija. |

That dude that said you might do all this requirement and still not get the job was right. Speaking from experience, I did the panel interview with one of the big 4. I answered all the interviewers questions perfectly without flipping. I was the candidate with the highest CGPA in my group, you know those strong 2.1. Network with people on nairaland and linked before the interview and still got dropped by them and my sorry ass is still jobless till date. Not disputing the fact you have to prepare for these things, but thing is only the recruiters know exactly what they are looking for in a candidate even if you wow them like Obama in your speech. 2 Likes |

Originalsly: You have pure mind good for you. Right in the middle of the interview, a man came into the office and asked the main interviewer to remember his boy (for the same job I was interviewing for). Interpret that in a neutral way 1 Like |

PatrickOkunima: My name is straightforward. Taiwo simply means the first twin. In ancient times, the birth of twins (ibeji), was considered a negative event. We were even killed at the time. In the 18th century, the views started to change and eventually it started to be considered a blessing! By the 19th century, the glorification was solidified and remains until now. Someone like me, the first twin, is usually named Taiwo. It means first to taste the world. |
