The Joint National Assembly Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission yesterday summoned 17 oil companies over alleged N72bn and $273m indebtedness to the commission. The joint committee’s chairman, Senator Peter Nwaoboshi, during interactive session with the officials of the NDDC, the Central Bank of Nigeria and the Union Bank, named the companies as Shebah Express Petroleum, Atlas Petroleum, Allied Energy, Frontier Oil, Seven Energy Limited, Belma Oil Producing Limited, AITECO Exploration and Production, Dubri Oil, Conoil Producing, Continental Oil and Gas.

Others were Enageed Resources Limited, New Cross Exploration, and Production, Pan Ocean Oil Corporation Nigeria Limited, Nigeria Petroleum Development Resources. Munipulo Petroleum Development Company, Prime Exploration and Production Company and the Nigeria LNG Limited

This country is just useless! NASS are just so stupid.., how did they owe that much and still operating?

If I were the local companies including the IOCs I won’t pay a dime as well as I would sue the Nigerian government to court since there is no regulatory body to draw an organized template for oil royalties which is in the PIB.

There is no bleeping regulation to monitor the countrie’s number one revenue point! Is Nigeria not cursed?? Is it not better they put this country on OLX and sell it?

No, Nigeria is not cursed.

Yes, it was sold on a different platform and corrupt politicians bought it. Every four years the electorates habitually pocket the proceeds (return on investment) of the sale.


The youths in Nigeria have collaborated with "the cabals" to recycled corrupt leaders, there are every where you go.
