The first time Said came to the camp of the Super Eaglets, the coach asked him the position that he played and he replied 'Any number'

Kareem Abdul-Jabbar is an American, he is not Yoruba and he was bearing Lewis Alcindor Jr. before he converted to Islam

forgiveness:

Have you heard of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Hakeem Olajuwon?

Where are they from? How come dey dominated the game eventhough they are not natives of USA?

This alone has rubbished your ethnocentric believe that a particular group is more talented than others. The only difference is OPPORTUNITY. That's all.

the same post has this excerpt
I have been very busy touring Nigeria for eligible players, my assistants have also done their own bit. So we will harmonise our list before we start training hopefully later this month”, the coach concluded.

nawa

They deviated from the old screening and toured selected places in search of talents. The criticism is why leave a way that has brought us so much success and tell us they were touring pencilling names.

This deviation should not happen again. There is no way to justify it. There is a laid down process that has worked for decades which has helped us secure the best possible talents around the country.

We would have clearly missed Osimhen if Amunike operated that way.

From the highlights of the Leicester City game in the EFL Cup, I can commend Nacho for a few things. One, his attack of spaces with pace looked far efficient than he does before.

I also was impressed with his build up plays when he dropped into midfield. His sharpness to pass is still there but I feel he is understanding when he is to use his passes.

Wish we had more games and time to access him.

Why not?

Maigari, the former NFF Chief, insisted on us sticking to the system of thorough scouting and finding the best possible talents for the U17. That led to the free-flowing 2013 U17 team that produced Success, Iheanacho, Yahaya, Okon, C. Nwakali, Awoniyi, Alampasu and a host of talented players.

So please, the blame lies on Pinnick.

If he settles down and works hard devoid of distractions, I see him way better than James milner in 6-7 years from now....as a utility player

He may just need to leave on loan because playing just cup games will not be enough for his development

For not interfering in a coach's selection process?

Why not blame the coach himself

Youth football depends largely on energy and physique

Time will tell whether he will adapt to the techniques as he grows up

That is why we are criticising Pinnick and not Manu Garba who has done it the right way from the time of Yemi Tella. Manu Garba knows the screening process for the U17 like the back of his hands. I am not blaming Garba but Pinnick.

Preparation should have started earlier. Manu Garba should have been consulted along the way long before the time. Funds provided and the process kicked off at the right time.

We can not blame Manu Garba if the right condition was not provided for him. The NFF creates the atmosphere for the coaches to succeed.

It is time they stop joking in that glass house.

The 'We know where football is made in Nigeria' was uttered due to ignorance.

How many African footballer of the year has SE produced? Two

How many African footballer of the year has SS produced? One

How many African footballer of the year has SW produced? Two

What is all the fuss about? undecided

You are an elder on this thread. You should know better than to encourage this tribalistic talk

Please all other elders should discourage this sickening trend that will divide this Honorable thread along ethnic lines. We are faced daily with ethnic jingoism on social media. This football space is our little hive of sanity and respite from tribalism. Please lets us speak against this nonsense

What right condition are you talking about?

And did he tell you it was that condition that prevented him from scouting players all over the country

This is where Stellar Group who I think are managing him should play their cards right. They need to locate the right place for Nacho with the right factors for his success.

They make millions from these players. Time for them to get their acts sorted out.

Nacho needs to play in a team that is known to play offensive football, have a manager that sticks to it and they are lacking a top quality striker which will give Nacho room to play.
