Stop boring us already with your charters abeg, Nigeria has exclusive right to the sea, 12 Nautical miles from her coast and no country can use it including the US, Russia, Britain, China etc without a permission from Nigeria.

Niger republic is landlocked yet Nigeria closed her border and seaports to her, why is Niger not sueing Nigeria, maybe you feel that world politics revolves around charters that can be revoked at the drop of a pen.

Your number 2 point is what I've been trying to tell you all the while, you must have an agreement with Nigeria before using her land and territorial waters at sea.

Article 125 subsection (2) has already covered the part that the coastal nation will have to reach an agreement with the landlocked country

The aim of quoting UNCLOS is for those who think that in the event of Biafra, Nigeria will have the absolute right to bottle up Biafra and deny it access to the sea if they so wish. Nigeria has no such right(s)

Theres no point talking about Niger that may well have agreements with any of their french speaking neighbours

Senator Muslihu El-Jibrin Doguwa was chairman Senate Committee on Agriculture between 1999 and 2003. He had also served as a local government chairman, Kano State chairman of the People’s Democratic Party PDP twice, and Managing Director of Hadejia Jamma’are River Basin Development Authority. Doguwa, who joined the All Progressives Congress, APC, before the last general elections, in this interview among others spoke on the state of the nation and the way forward.

59 years after independence, how do you view the country’s political development so far? We have to be grateful to our founding fathers. Those who fought for our independence in 1960 must be appreciated. We must appreciate their zeal, courage and determination that led to our independence despite all the odds. Secondly, we have to appreciate them for uniting themselves even with their differences. You can see Sir Ahmadu Bello from the North, Chief Nnamdi Azikiwe from the East and Chief Obafemi Awolowo from the West. There are a lot of others like Abubakar Tafawa Balewa, Malam Aminu Kano and a lot of them who joined their hands together, kept aside their political differences and got us independence 59 years ago.

On the discovery of oil in northern Nigeria

I am so happy, very happy. Even this agitation coming from the south is as a result of oil because they see us (North) as parasites. To God be the glory. I sincerely thank President Muhammadu Buhari because it was courage and determination that made this happen. In 2001, it was in the pipeline but never saw the light of the day due to political interests. I have a friend, Senator Matori, I know how he had fought for this oil well in Bauchi. He fought for it when we were in the Senate. Unfortunately, we could only legislate but had no powers to send people to start investigating before it becomes a reality. Fortunately, it is during President Muhammadu Buhari that it has become a reality. I am happy and sincerely thank President Buhari for taking the North out of this messy situation where somebody will just wake up and say Northerners are parasites. With this development nobody can look at us from the north and say we are parasites. There are also a lot of areas where hopefully we will get more. In Sokoto, around Tangaza we have oil, we have it in Borno in the Chad basin, we have in Kogi at the border with Enugu. It is just about courage and determination and utilizing the resources to get this thing done. It is my hope that before President Buhari leaves office we will have about four or five states with oil so that they will be among the oil producing states of the country.

Let's find another topic to discuss please,we all know the Biafra topic is only noise,it will never happen.
To secede you need brave people not cowards.
How do you secede when your leaders run away all the time?
Ojukwu ran away, now that terrorist Kanu has also ran away.

'Biafra is all noise', yet you and your sad ilk have been on this thread for days banging your head on the wall and insisting a potential Biafra would be 'landlocked' and frustrated by 'one Nigeria'! Is this the response one gives to something they see as 'inconsequential'?

Fact of the matter is Biafra scares the shi't out of you evil lot, and your hope is that if peradventure it becomes a reality, that it would comprise of just 'your 5 south-east states' and would be hemmed in and surrounded by a hostile Nigeria! How you managed to convince your deluded self that the likes of Annang/Ibibio/Efik, Ijaw, Ogoni, Opobo, Bonny, etc would be a party to your diabolical plans of trying to frustrate Biafra shows just how detached from reality you are!

If you believed yourselves you would long have agreed to a referendum for just the south-east states instead of sending down truckloads of red-eyed Fulani soldiers in the name of python dance to shoot at innocent agitators!

If Biafra seceed, there won't be any Nigeria left. At least four other countries will emerge from the remaining part of Nigeria.

Area4Area:
No need giving us epistles, Nigerian laws applicable to other foreigners would be applied to Biafrans who are now foreigners.

Did I tell you that foreigners(Biafrans) would all be retrenched from the federal civil service and other states' civil service since they're now foreigners.
Same goes for Biafrans in the military and paramilitary outfits in Nigeria.
Expatriate quota is then applied in the employment of Biafrans in Nigeria.

These are existing laws for now.
Nigeria can decide to enact new ones.

You're still hoping on what other regions would do for your Biafra to succeed, I dey laff.
Waiting on others for your success and that's so daft.

Now you understand those Nigerian laws applicable to foreigners today which would be applicable to Biafrans, please preach it to others.

You guys have been wasting your time engaging one guy with different handles in this thread. Anywhere Biafra bell rings Yyeske aka area4area gets frustrated and employ his "we the south south" handles to ease off his frustrations. I wondered how a sane person would spend 24/7 on every Biafran thread but later realized he is a mod.

@the first bolded, Biafra would not have any access without any agreement with Nigeria so that Nigeria can slam her imports and exports with whatever tariffs Nigeria deems fit, Biafra would take it or leave it. Nigeria may decide that Biafra can only use her seaports so that her goods going in or out would be inspected at any of her seaports Biafra would be using.

@the second, truly no need talking about Niger republic who may have agreements with other countries unlike Biafra that must have that AGREEMENT with Nigeria only because it would be an enclave within Nigeria.

The "We the South South" crew that will even argue with you a South South son of the soil of Igbo stock that you are not Igbo... imagine how preposterous it is when someone from another side of the divide, comes here and tells you- a profound and unapologetic Igbo man from Rivers or Delta state that you're not Igbo because of some trash they read on the internet... like WTF? me I don't even waste my precious time arguing my Igboness with some yoruba dirty idiot claiming South South... it's pointless as it feeds into the needlessness of such argument in the first place.

Like I said no Ibibio, Efik, Annang etc person will EVER refer to an Igbo as "Okoro", maybe there's a more distinct name, that's more generic which the Efik or Ibibio people call an Igbo person, but Okoro is definitely not one of them. Funnily enough, a Yoruba or Hausa person is more likely to call an Efik or Ibibio man "Omo Okoro" or "Nyamirin" ... since anyone from the former Eastern region is considered "Igbo" to the average Yoruba or Hausa person of today.
