Is The Border Shutdown Finally Uniting Nigerians? by Rosskiki(op): 11:01pm On Oct 31, 2019
I notice that ethnic battles have reduced significantly on NL as the fallout from the Federal Govt's dramatic border shutdown continues to amaze, mesmerise, and captivate Nigerians across the board.

With the effects of the border shutdown reverberating across the world, not just West Africa, Nigerians are realising, many for the first time, just how important and pivotal their country is in the comity of nations.

Our much maligned country is actually one which, if it merely shuts its borders for a few weeks, the entire world falls to its knees in supplication.

The Vietnamese government has dispatched a high level delegation to persuade Abuja to rescind its decision. As reported, they were met by a firm demand that they establish rice mills HERE in Nigeria if they wish to benefit from the Nigerian market.

The really interesting thing is that, as the years progress, this Nigerian power will only increase. Nigeria is projected to become the world's THIRD most populous nation after China and India by 2050.

Who can ignore such a market in the international business community?

This country, by sheer virtue of its market size, and growing buying power, can dictate the terms and pace of its own industrialisation.

I think this is why Nigerians are uniting in a new belief and pride in the country.

An ignorant Giant we are... A nation oblivious of its great potentials. ''He that is in the place of honour but knoweth it not is like a beast that perisheth". So says the holy writ.

Uhmm...I comment my reserve.
I pray it's not too late before we realize.
...I hope we start producing more dentists.
Teeth are getting cracked from stones in rice.
Again, I comment my reserve.

IF NIGERIA FAILS TO BE FAIR TO THE IGBOS, IT WILL NOT CONTINUE TO EXIST AS A SINGLE ENTITY.
If iNNOSON reasoned like you, he would still be an unknown spare parts importer.

Or some nameless, jobless, disgruntled rabble rouser.

Instead, he saw light where you see darkness, and became the largest black-owned car manufacturer on the face of the earth.

Learn from him.
