I don't think it's a big deal,so far you can download/install with your play store. I just even noticed it today on my Redmi Note 6 Pro

Until you want to use some banking apps, dstvnow and you are flagged with "playstore not certified".

Maybe if you flash custom roms like Havoc and Aosmp, you will get the VOLTE capabilities too.

Always ON only works on Amoled be it Xiaomi or any other OEM.

Go to system update click on the MIUI icon 10 times. Then click on the three vertical dots at the upper right corner you should see choose update package then locate the downloaded ROM and keep your data ON

Admist all this update update noise, it occurred to me: could one not just simply download the update file and do a manual update like I do on ios devices? Would that require an unlocked bootloader or any of the other technical stuff.
