cutiep:I doubt you will find any. Apart from the free one 23kg you will be entitled to, United, WestJet, AirCanada etc all have extra baggage allowance, but you have to pay for it. North American airlines airlines will find everything to charge you for. You may get a waiver for an additional bag if you fly business class or a premium economy class. |

Tominiola:Hello Tominiola, Presto card only works in some cities in Ontario just like Oyster is restricted to London. Vancouver has a card with the same feature. Montreal might have one too. Other regions do have a monthly pass which gets you on a bus or light rail transit, however, they may not be like oyster or presto with tap feature. |

I read a lot about the life of immigrants in Canada, and I continue to think about moving to live there. I understand that at first it will not be easy for me, but still the level and lifestyle I will have is better than now. |

Hello house! Please has anyone submitted their passports to vfs this week? Did you recieve a lagos tracking ID or a Ghana tracking ID?. I was told by customer service that passports are now being processed in Lagos and not Accra. Can anyone confirm this please. |
| Re: Living In Canada/Life As A Canadian Immigrant Part 2 by MapleBae2020: 7:30pm On Nov 06, 2019 |
If it's true, isn't that good news? Shorter processing time. Let someone confirm please Melodyy19: |

I went to my bank for the bank statement in CIC format. They actually prepared the document, the thing that's bothering me is the section for average balance for past 6 months. Nothing was divided, they just wrote down my balance at the end of each month for the last 6 month. I asked the customer care agent if it wasn't supposed to be divided by number of days in the month or something, they said it wasn't and insisted that's the way they calculate it. I just want to know if that's really how it's done from those that submitted this document or if I've got to seek further corrections. I'd appreciate a response from anyone. Thank you |

yvonneigwe:This shouldn't be a problem. CIC stated what they need, yours is to give them just that or all they need to arrive at that. A combination of bank statement, reference letter and letter of non indebtedness comprehensively caters for all CIC's requirements. They can easily get the average balance from the statement. But if you're still concerned, you could work it out yourself in an LOE (I actually don't think it's necessary). |
