1. Find a topic.
For this book I will reveal the topic. And book cover. So chill.


I just thought of Halloween.
Why because we are in november and whites love Halloween. I don't know what it is but I'm choosing it.
So I go to Amazon.com and type Halloween in the searchbar.
Here is what I see

Halloween books for kids
Halloween books for girls.

This means there are people searching for books on this topic.

So I have a topic to write on.

Now we have a topic.
Next is keywords to rank on. The topic

Using my brain.
I check all the keywords
Halloween books for girls
Halloween books for kids 2 year olds.
Halloween book for toddlers
Halloween books for preschoolers.

I will type each one and click search. Yes each one I say.
Note
I will pick the one with low competition results.
Example
Halloween books for kids 2000 results
Halloween books for toddlers flap 166 results
Halloween books for toddlers 1000 results

So which will I pick?

Keyword number two.
Why?
I can rank on page 1 or two

Type your topic and see if there are people searching for books.
Pick the keywords with low results. Less than 500 results.

Secret one
Make sure other books are selling in the keyword.
How?

Check their bestseller rank. For example

Using Halloween books as example. I chose the keyword for this tutorial.

The books under Halloween are selling because
They have a low bestseller rank.
A good keyword will have Books with bestseller rank under 100k

Eg. 50,000
20,000
10,000
1000 etc. Even a bestseller rank of 89,000.


How to check the bestseller rank
Click the books after typing the keywords
Visit the booking and check the description.
You will see the bestseller rank.
If it's less than 100k.
You are good to go

Bleed (leave as it is)
Paper color - white paper
Matte or glossy = chose glossy

Upload manuscript = your msword

Upload cover
Chose use your own cover.

Check by your right under upload cover, you will see download a template.
Click the blue written word to download a cover PDF template

A new window will open.

Visit the window
Type the number of pages of your book
Choose the size example 6x9
Click download.


Open the PDF in photoshop
Copy the book cover picture you designed
Paste it to the white space by your right.

Color the remaining parts. Plain color

Now upload this cover as paperback.

Personally, outsourcing to me is not that cool. I hired two writers consecutively due to my busy schedules and they both did a crappy job, they plagiarized other people's content before I took the challenge to write on my own. My book is not about Halloween tho.
