A friend of mine is planning on applying for scholarship in China and his source told him he will spend nothing less than 700k for the application process.
Please can someone give me a draft out amount to hold for application that is for visa,passport,notarization, transcripts. And others,I need it. Thank you

First, authentication actually took nearly #3,000 (at Fed. Min. Of Education) for just two docs. I was later given four as my photo copies we're authenticated too. And #2,800 at Foreign affairs.
I got police character certificate at ~#12,000, notarized,#2,000.
Passport ~#26,000
Visa~ #32,000.

It depends on how many documents he/she has to process (whuwh also depends on what level of education he/she is going for).
Where is he/she based? I could help out in the meantime while waiting for my session to start.

Between, it should not cost more than #150,000 at any case.

Just court notarisation is enough. You can also use NIPOST registered mail and send your scholarship application early by January.

Stop wasting your money for courier and authentication from Ministry of Education and Ministry of foreign affairs which erequires travel and

I actually gave the info to cover subsequent VISA applications. I carried out the entire procedures at once. When I got my admission documents, I went to the embassy where all the things I listed above was CHECKED for.
Also, Sir, with that you should realise that the 'not more than 150k' is supposed to cover the ENTIRE process and not part. Including journey to Abuja from Kaduna.

The easiest way is to get somebody in China to help you with the payment.

Check out universities without application fee. They are a handful of them.
