Am also having a similar issues. I paid someone over 700k wrongly, called him and he promised to resend the money but he never did till now. By the time I went to his bank, I was told he has withdrawn all the money. He sent me a text that, it is after bank has failed me he will refund after 1 month. His line has been switched off since that day. I need all the help I can get right now because this is all have saved this year.

Some people can steal anything, even their own money if they don't know its theirs.

This foolish man should have negotiated a 4k fee for seeing but not touching the money in his account. 4 free k would have been better than jail. The operator would have gladly accepted a 4k loss and not go to court.

That was how i borrowed 1k from MTN. Under an emergency I didn't have call airtime call so I bought 1.5k airtime from my acc only to find out that due to the emergency, I missed a digit of my phone no and credited someone's acc. All calls and text fell on deaf ears. She was even laughing at me.

The guy deserved what he got but all these cash agents should endeavour to cross check before sending out money. Imagine he/she made a mistake of 2 digits not even 1.

Take up the matter with SARS, they will fish out all his friends and relatives and he will surely be produced.

Probably the mobile money agent is a relative or friend of one efcc staff.

Over a decade ago, I deposited $90 into my domiciliary account and I was credited $900. I called the Bank and drew attention to it.

Why will you steal what does not belong to you?

The sentence is too harsh, what's the point the judge trying to make, turn him into a harden criminal? He has paid the money back already and forfeited the motorcycle, why still send him to prison for two years after pleading guilty, something is not right with the judge.

in law that judgment is too mean, he has paid back the money even tho he did after his arrest plus he forfeited and plead guilty yet you gave him 2years in prison Maina that stole billions got 6months in prison and you think something is not wrong with that judge? With a good lawyer he can appeal his sentence, it's inhumane.
