Have a beautiful day my people.
it is also important people face the consequences of their actions. If you have made a mistake in the past (deliberate or not) then explain with an LOE. There is no other advice asides that

I was just thinking to myself, what’s the reason for considering adding your spouse as non-accompanying when clearly you have nothing to loose.
For the EE process, I believe whatever citizenship you hold, you will need a PR card to be able to live in Canada including US citizens. As a US citizen, you are only allowed to stay in Canada for 90 days, except you hold other documentation which may be allowed.
Except your husband is not willing to live in Canada, then you may have to explain that in an LOE as I do not think a holder to select if your spouse will be non-accompanying will be provided.
In view of the above, I would suggest you do the payment and anticipate providing other requirements that may be asked of you.
I hope it helps

Everyone should be allowed to express his or herself. Inasmuch as we sometimes find comments very offensive, it keeps us in touch with reality. We need to be blunt to ourselves, especially on this journey. And yes, there will always be those of us that will cushion the hardness. Generally we don't like noises, however, Music that we all love is defined as organised noise..

I agree with you too and no one is the "founder" of nairaland here.
Just be civil or keep mute lipsrsealed
You must not reply.
That was how someone from here went to reply somebody's post rudely in the sisters thread and she was attacked by most off them there.

May God continue to bless the Noc queen @newmum615 even when she gets angry she will still reply anyway.

Good afternoon,

Please seniors and elders in the house, I have been refused study permit visa before on generic terms like no ties to Canada and home, no travel history, not sure will come back and I applied again and I was denied on 2 terms no travel history and not sure will come back.. Please can my EE be refused cause I was denied study permit visa twice. Please I don't mind if anyone has had same issue and got PPR.
Why will they deny you PPR if you apply this time? Is it because they feel you will not come back? Of they know you won’t come back this time. That is why they will be giving you PPR. wink cheesy

Ah! Your initial message sounded like you guys just made a U-turn and were back into the US lol.

If the process took 4hours, you definitely have to put it in your application. Perhaps use an LOE, to give as much as information as you can remember. Maybe even call the friends you were in the car with to give their own version of the story so you have something coherent.

I just read your initial message again, it was not your intention to enter the country but you sha entered lol. cheesy

That's a really good idea cheesy I'll get in touch with the friends since they may have better recollection of what happened. And then I'll explain in my LOE. Thank you so much for your guidance!

Dear all ,

Please help my case .

I am post AOR but just got married .
I would like to add my spouse as non-accompanying to my application . I understand that it requires my to increase my POF to funds for a family of 2 but i didn't envisage that I would also be required to pay RPRF and processing fees since my husband does not require the PR . He is an American citizen.
I have read most of the adding spouse threads but no case seems close to mine.
Does anyone have any advice or opinion on how to go from here?
Please assist .

Raise a CSE to inform IRCC of the change in your marital status. You will get a request letter asking you to complete a set of forms. Your spouse will be subsequently added to your application.

You are right that you won't be required to pay RPRF and processing fee since he doesn't intend to obtain PR. However, he will be required to provide medicals and PCC even though he's unaccompanying. Updated POF depends on the visa office; some ask for it, some don't. To avoid any delay, you should provide it upfront when submitting the ADRs in the request letter.

Please note that your spouse will undergo same checks (criminality, medical and security) as would any secondary applicant. This may extend the timeline to complete your application (emphasis on may).

I have attached screenshots of a request letter received by someone I know. You should expect something similar to the letter.

I wish you good luck.

I'm very new on these streets (and probably still thinking in very Nigerian terms cheesy) but I'd like to share my opinions on your post.

This makes a lot of sense. We have decided have o do this already thanks.

After we land we can leave to US after two weeks and process a PRTD to get back into Canada.

Thanks again.

Thank you

I know a lot of people are against agents but a good travel agent is your friend in this case Just for the purpose of a ticket. An agent can make payments for tickets from US to Canada, so they can help with that. Also the actual honest agents are well travelled, so they can advise you on immigration protocols and if it will go well for you. Also, you can cargo your properties from the US to Canada instead of from NG.
Lastly, don’t try going to the US without a return/departure ticket, if they bounce you, they will still make you pay for a return ticket and to Nigeria for that matter.

Thanks you so much for the input but I think we would just go to Canada and securebiur PR before heading out.

I don't think it will be a problem. Truth be told, with Trump in the WH, those Border agents are crazy these days but so long as you have your COPR and you explain to them your plans, you should be fine. You could also ask this question on the "Living in Canada" thread to get a better response.

Hello everyone. For those who have used cipm for their express entry, what did you put as your field of study? I used Arts, General (Humanities/Social Sciences) for my psychology degree and I'm thinking of using Business, Management, Marketing & Related Support Services for CIPM.
Your kind opinions will be appreciated as I'm trying to avoid mistakes and I've checked but couldn't find an answer. Thank you

Let me get you clearly please, does one have to pay application fee and rprf for non-accompanying spouse? I already know I'll have to provide things pcc, medicals and biometrics. Your response will be highly appreciated.

If we have a surprise draw today, it will make a lot of people happy. It will also confirm that 4 more draws may be conducted before the year ends. We might experience 450s again. IRCC are very unpredictable sha !!

I do not think that non-accompanying spouse would pay for application fee and RPRF for obvious reasons.
But you can do more research with information on IRCC website using their FAQ section.

The application and rprf is processing fee for PR. If you’re spouse is not applying with you, you’ll only pay for yourself.

Something tells me you already know what to do—I guess you already know that you can increase your IELTS scores to boost your chances, you can go for PNP or you can marry your boo if he can increase your CRS score. wink
