In most parties, what we play are 100 percent Nigerian songs. why? because in as much as our songs might not be the best in the world, we IMPROVED. now we have singers who collaborate with Amercan artiste there was no law by PMAN to stop the sale of oyinbo music in Nigeria, it died a natural death because they improved. no one listens to foriegn music that much. in this case, ask yourself why Nigerians refuse to eat local rice? This is one of the reason. you DONT FORCE QUALITY. You improve the compitetion and make thse farmers work harder to improve their stock and Nigerians would buy theirs without even complaining. but NO the Northern president thinks we are like them. everyting has to be done by force. the most uneducated and unexposed president we have ever had. Abacha was a bad man but light years better than this clueless man called Buhari. it would only make the famers feel that they are doing us a favour and will not improve one bit. if what they have is the best then i am sorry for this country.

Honestly the best rice i have ever eaten over three decades is the one i bought last week from a local rice seller and she was just too honest to tell me that is Nigeria rice. i could feel the raw taste of the rice as if just harvested that very day. just a little ingredient added the whole rice was full of aroma and i had to request for more and my kids were saying mummy we want more and in no time the pot was emptied. The bitter truth is that so many unpatriotic elements within and outside the corridor of power will do anything inhuman to damage this country for their selfish interest and then turn around to blame the government. why on earth should Nigeria be importing rice if not for unbridled laziness and lack of foresight of past regimes who for reasons known to them turned blind eyes to the massive potential of our agriculture and the ready made market. let us join hands together and build this country for the good of all.

There are many good local rice in the market. He can buy Olam Mama Pride, Big Bull, Lake rice, Ejimole rice. Tested and trusted local rice, sand free and sweet rice is available in the market. Because of the rush, our people are doing their worst by bagging rice that is yet to be destoned. Again the young man should know that the rice he bought has not been processed in any form that is parboiled. All he needs to do is to wash it properly and parboil before final cooking.

And no complain ever since from them. I support 100% anything made in Nigeria, if we produce n make mistake, we can correct the mistake n improve the quality, gradually we get it better. That's a big lies, local rice are not that bad as you insinuate that what I have been eating for very long time now.

Eating the phucking rice you idio.t. I don't know what it will cost you to wash it properly and eat. Anybody who eats ofada rice for example understands that they need to wash it thoroughly before cooking.

Your analogy may seem appropriate but Nigeria was not spending billions of dollar to "import" foreign music. I got your point because I belong to that generation too. We rather listen to Shalamar or Cool and the Gang than listen to own Dizzy K. But food issue is a security and economic issue. If you know the "war" been targeted at Nigeria for it to break up by external forces, not to talk of internal self-imposed challenges, your patriotism will skyrocket. Fourteen countries with most in west Africa are under the control of France. Nigeria is an hindrance to French total control of the Ecowas region.
