What is a big organization?

Brace up for the confusion it creates Sir. Legal exploitation of that term will create chaos. Perhaps it will be subject to the CBN's interpretation, and by this this implies providing a minimum amount that can be invested or a financial base to attain to qualify as ' a big organization "

Mind you, from the CBN to the ministry of finance, the lack of definitive pathway economically on a longer term will continue to attract " testing tools ", in the quest for macro-economical policies that promotes better productivity in the country... That's what all this is about, in the end.

While the Emefiele-CBN's directive is to limit funds in the system for alternative purposes I.e investing in the real economy/sector, its the 21st century and Nigerians being smart will exploit the loopholes.

Since the CBN limits dealing in T-bills to big organizations, its only a matter of time before these " big organizations " create their own banking system to collect funds from individuals and invest them on their behalf.

The obvious alternative is investing in other economies, but then its an excellent move to me by Emefiele. Real Sector Investors helps to create more jobs and promotes circulation of wealth/money better.

Its only a matter of time to address the dichotomy between the digital economy and the real economy. Good move CBN. For once, I'm proud of Emefiele.
This thread I think is for tbills and not for those encouraging emefiele to stop it. Maybe create another thread to promote your real sector while people contribute on way forward here please.
Some of us are not interested in any real sector even if they stop tbills or not

In the absence of tbills I think I will convert to dollar and invest in stanbic dollar fund.
All this fire brigade approach by Emefiele is changing nothing

Don't mind the idiot, u can drag a horse to the stream but u can't force it to drink water.

Invest in which economy, the one without light or road. If he likes he should sell the CBN my money will find a place.

Hopeless , clueless governor.

You welcome.
If you use GTB, this might help both whatsapp and contact details is there. Afterall, our own CBN still allows foreign investors in OMO and treasury bills so Ghana should allow us too as foreign investors.

Gosh, can i cope without tbs? My ten years budgets are drafted on this investment . I'm thinking hard now , maybe time to chanel some money to Ghana tbs , i once made enquiry from a bank over there, they accept foreigners but you need a resident permits to open an account, some money to stanbic dollars funds, some to Fg bonds, some to real economy ( transportation, insured Toyota siennas for inter-state, 10 keke will roll in 4m annually ). I'm hoping this new cbn policy will be a blessing in disguise . Thinking hard

If CBN had sense they should have pegged a maximum amount which individuals can invest

Not stop it completely anyway, let's wait and see if the money bags in Nigeria with huge funds in TB and the ears of bubu allow this nonsense policy.

So now the economy of Nigeria depends on individual's money.

Can I assume a big organization when i approach my bank. If its about capping the capital then banks will still do crowd funding and we will be safe. If not, like minds can come together in order be a big organization. Its only the rates that can drive their policy, like putting rates at 6%, we will all redirect our funds but if they want to chase us away while their cronies continue with juicy rates then the mix up will last a long time.

You just figured it out Boss

Mr Ahib goes to the bank to subscribe for some t-bills. Sorry my ahiboilandgas, the CBN just discontinued bla bla bla. But wait you also run a company account and transact BTW this and that annually. Let's examine your annual statement the past three years. Oh, good the cash flow is good. So your company fits the profile. But there's another factor, the minimum you can invest in tbills on your corporate profile is 30m

Mr. Ahib then thinks, I have 15m to invest, I need 15m more so I can invest on tbills. Comes to NTB members here for examplez, legal contracts is signed. Crowd funding provides the additional funds. The deal is sealed tbills purchased.

The thing is the legal construct and agreement of contributing members. But then, we know the second hardest thing for we blacks after reading is " forming partnerships "

Crowd funding T-bills financing/purchase is the way out like you pointed out chief. It's only a matter of time before individual investors exploit whatever loopholes will/exists in the new policy posture.

Please first have to create an account with us. But before the account can be opened, you also need a resident permit from our immigration service.

example if na 15 your yearly profit is 7.5m paid twice 3.75m is credited to your account ever six month for 5 years or 10 years (duration of the bond )...the difference is t.b is off front while bond like fixed deposits credit is bi annually or quartyly (saving bond ) ....which this 5 years out to worry about cbn and rate ...just be reinvesting the coupons in mmf or tb or fixed deposit and continue your work
