If your mom had done the surgery then, it would have been better. Now, most of the optic nerve might have been damaged and surgery cannot reverse it again. Glaucoma is unlike cataract that's curable. As for glaucoma, the more the patient waits or fails to do the proper thing he/she was instructed to do by an ophthalmologist, the more the eye ailment worsens and may lead to blindness in the end. It shall not be your mom's portion. However, we should learn to adhere to instructions. It pays a lot.

I might sound like s quack but I learnt that Forever Living Products have supplements very good for eyes. Give them try. Their office is on Aromire street, off Awolowo way, Ikeja. You'll buy it there at company price.

It's the same like managing one's sight. Bro Glaucoma has no permanent cure, you can only manage it. Take your drugs to minimize temperature in the eye. Eat well to stay away from BP. You can only manage it. Besides, it's hereditary. You too can go for check and know your status and fight it early enough.

Why should doctors and nurses work for free? Initially many of them do treat the patient out of pocket, including labor, supplies, and other consumables; but when it came time to collect, the patient will start giving excuses or want to do "monthly payment". After several years you get a bit disheartened. If people really cared that much - including the person taking the pictures - they would donate money for the patient to give to the doctor. Is it after treating 6 patients who don't pay that the doctors will feed their own families?

hi dear. Although there's no known cure for glaucoma, and vision lost as a result cannot be recovered ;nevertheless, your mothers vision can be preserved if she sticks to doctors recommendations, use her drugs as instructed and go for regular eye checks as recommended. U should change your doc if the one u use isnt showing much concern in helping her preserve what's left of her vision. you and your siblings should also go for glaucoma screening . All the best

Everyone in that dump is a victim one way or the other. If you have a problem with your work conditions take it out against the authorities and your ogas. You dont take it out on people you swore to treat. If the conditions dont favour you then leave the work. But they grumble, kill patients and still collect salary on top .. then grumble some more. The problem with you people is the same problem everywhere in that shithole. Everyone wants to be paid for doing nothing. Listening to some of you speak one would think you even know what you are doing. You are talking of money as if money will make a difference in the face of incompetence.
