Age falsification. Falsification is a crime. Just as you can be prosecuted for falsification of anything doc or object, age is not excluded.

Now, my question is, "would there be any penalty for age reduction"? I am using WAEC and you know what that mean. I am planning to go to court for age affidavit.

It’s simply called age falsification, sir. And it could have many other implications, but the Law of the land label it a criminal offense

if you go for age declaration or affidavit, it will surely been against the age in your WAEC certificate and it will create more problems for you so just leave it the way it is and continue to press button for better luck,may while look for something you can do with your hand as in vocational job,it may be small at the beginning but believed me the end will be great

The mistake you did is by not reducing your age before writing Waec.

That reminds me of my friend that used to brag about his age back then in school, i told him the implication of him using his real age, it was when he was denied NYSC that he valued not using a real age. He can't even apply for some jobs cus of age restrictions ,went to do affidavit but its too late

Don't reduce your age for any reason. Don't follow the trend because you want to get a job. Suitable job shall come your way.

My own case is that WAEC added 5 years to my real age. Both day of birth, month and year didn't correspond. I have my affidavit, birth certificate, baptismal card and my primary school testimonial that carries my real age to back it up. I can't kill myself for waec.

i think age affidavit is no longer accepted in many agencies... It will be useless, they will most likely ask you for your waec results or birth certificate
