Update on the Kuroilers and Turkeys

I'm presently having a problem in my brooding room. The Turkeys are becoming a pest. For the past two days now, I have been hearing loud chick cries from the brooding room so I decided to sit and watch them today. I discovered the turkeys kept pecking the necks and mouths of others including the chicks ( Pecking order establishment abi?.
The other Turkeys just laid down when pecked while the chicks not knowing how to respond were pecked continuously.

What do I do?
Pls separate them immediately, turkeys almost ran me mad when I raised them with broilers, at a point I was almost weeping for my broilers until they were separated.

Thanks.

Not really, they come in different colours. This current batch has so many random colors I am beginning to wonder grin

This is interesting. I have been raring Noilers since 2016, I am anxious to see how mature Kuroilers look.
Do Noilers or Kuroilers really lay eggs cos I got some at 4weeks from a market but going to 7months now they don't lay eggs and they are all female
Re: My Kuroiler Birds From Day Old by jidestroud(op): 8:13pm On Aug 08, 2019
Been quite a while I dropped an update on my kuroilers. The few I kept back are doing exceptionally well. Likewise, same can be said of the turkeys. Next Batch starting up immediately after Sallah.

First time raring the kuroilers so I will have to wait till then. As for the Noilers, YES they do lay eggs.

Does the Noiler or Kuroiler sit on their eggs like the local chickens do?

I haven't been patient enough for them (Noilers) to be broody. I use my locals most times.

I don't know about Kuroilers, but Noilers from Amo hatchery lay eggs. There are a lot of adulterated Noilers/Kuroilers out there right now, I can only speak for the ones gotten from Amo. From rearing Noilers for 4 years now, I can say authoritatively that as long as you feed them properly (Starter from day old to 5-7 weeks, and Grower from 7 weeks) they start laying eggs around 17-19 weeks...plus or minus.

Quick Update

It's been a while, so many activities going on behind the scene. I hardly ever have time to update but been following my favourite threads back back.

The Kuroilers poultry projects have a massive success for me. So far, I have been able to breed a thousand Kuroilers, selling at 4 - 6 weeks. My people, no be Moi-Moi oooo. Nevertheless, its been very successful and rewarding. It is a project I have had to manage my very self, and guess what? It has been purely organic.

Thanks to all those who made it a reality.

More updates coming up.

List of what makes up my recipe includes;

1. Garlic

2. Ginger

3. Tumeric

4. Apple Cider Vinegar (My most essential)

5. Pawpaw leaves

6. Basil leaves (scent leaves)

7. Christmas Melon (used occasionally)

8. Aloe vera

10. Neem oil (walahi, it works wonders)

My goat project is going on beautifully. Both Patra and Hinata on their 3rd pregnancy now. grin grin . The only challenge I am currently facing is limited females. The males are constituting nuisance presently on the farm. I just may end up selling against my 5years plan. Though my vet advised castrating them. angry

Good luck bro
Having many males always constitute nuisance cos their testosterone level will be very high with no female around and it may even lead to unnecessary fights
Maybe u should castrate some , that way u will even get good size on d meat level and it commands good market value
