what a confused lad....he has the opportunity now to make the team at such a tender age and surely rise up the ladder in no distance time as an international for the most populated black nation on earth...
but instead he opted for the English under 21....so bad.

anyway I must commend Pinnick for this even though I am not so happy with him...

He is far from confused he is very wise in playing the game. It's a bit like chess.

Victor Osimhen has made it clear that Lille will decide whether or not to sell him as from the January transfer window amid speculations linking him with a transfer to Barcelona and English Premier League clubs.

The Nigeria international is rumored to be on the wish list of the Spanish champions who are looking to sign a replacement for the aging Luis Suarez.

Signed from Sporting Charleroi in August 2019, Osimhen has met the expectations of Lille, having scored 9 goals in 17 matches across all competitions with two assists to his name, and the striker has refused to rule out a departure from The Dogues.

In quotes carried by foot-sur7 making reference to L'Equipe, Osimhen stated : ''I had confidence in myself and the experiences in Wolsfburg and Charleroi helped me. The most important thing was to play fast.

"I've always been ready to take the stage ... If big clubs look at me, it's great for me. But I am well in Lille. The club will decide if I stay or leave. I will not object.''

The 20-year-old Osimhen has a contract with Lille until the end of the 2023-2024 season.

Agents and their tactics cheesy cheesy

SCORENigeria can exclusively reveal that plans are now underway for Sweden to give Alhassan Yusuf citizenship so that he could now play for them and not the Super Eagles. The former FC Hearts midfielder, 19, has been the biggest revelation in the Swedish top-flight league this past season.

And this fact was underlined by the various awards he has so far bagged – Young Player of the year award in the league and the best player in his club this season

‘Hasse’ scored two goals in 27 league appearances for IFK this past season, but he has yet to represent Nigeria at any level. “The plans are now on for Alhassan to play for Sweden and not Nigeria,” a source close to the IFK Goteborg star informed only SCORENigeria “First, he has to get a Swedish passport and then he could play for his adopted country. “But in the end, it’s the personal decision of the player himself.”

Earlier this year, his club refused to release him for the FIFA U20 World Cup in Poland despite sustained pressure from the Flying Eagles.

IFK Gothenburg midfielder Alhassan Yusuf has revealed he came close to joining Wolves.

The Göteborgs-Posten reports Wolves tried to sign Yusuf on deadline day in England this past August, but ran out of time trying to organise a visiting visa for the Nigerian.

"They wanted to sign a contract with me and loan me to IFK in the fall, but to be completely honest I don't know how close it is now. If that happens, it happens," Yusuf tells GP.

The 19-year-old is now set to stay even next season.

"Hopefully. I'm really happy with the club, my teammates and everything around me. That clubs follow me is an encouragement and makes me work harder

I'm not saying the EPL is not a mess due to the change they made against FIFA's stipulation

But just to point out how rules can be reviewed and changes effected at any given opportunity just like they are about to sit again on Thursday to amend their rules again.

Hence my decision to include those 2 reference links on the post I copied you on just like CAF also rescinded it contractual decision with Multi choice probably after discovering the monopolistic nature of Multi choice/DSTV/SUPERSPORT

A bad example

FIFA made the rules not English FA
Secondly, fifa and even english fa are
not examples of what democracy stands for.

you're very cunning sha...

in a democracy the will of the majority prevails...
and also the majority have the right to exercise their rights at will..... but through a lawful means...

are there written statutes that voting into the committee and rescinding of decisions on committee members ought to follow in this thread? ??

if none, the majority over 22 nairalanders want icon to be included in the award committee and there is nothing you can do about it.....

you didn't read where some of us here cited that, they didn't get to understand the voting process thinking Icon and Andrew already had automatic admission into the committee board....

laws are made by men and same men in overwhelming majority can amend and re-enact same laws.....even a rigid constitution can be amended.

You are right. The will of majority must prevails. And as it stands, the majority don't want icon4 as part of the committee because only 22 voted for him out of 62 voters. The remaining 40 didn't agree. How about that?

I want Icon4 to be among the committee, much more than you think because I know he is more dedicated to it than anyone of us here but since the indirect democratic process was used to elect the committee, the direct democratic process you want to introduce, can nologer be used or introduced at the end of the election.

However, since, Liberty and Equality which are the elements of democracy were encouraged/practiced during the direct democratic process as agreed, there should be no room for magomago or sentiment afterwards.

Icons4 exercised these same liberty and equality as much as everyone here did and that was why he didn't object when 1,2,3 & 4 electorates nominated him during the election but unfortunately, he lost out and he accepted it in good faith and I hope he respects the decision of the electorates.

I really respected him for that because his actions promote true democracy. Unlike the wayo wayo one way you wan bring up. grin

Anyway, this has become a challenge for those who have become trustees (elected representative) to carry-out the idea and interest of the trustors (voters). Icons4 can act as the chief advisor and chief sponsor. grin

As Safari rightly suggested, let us begin by electing the chairman of the committee.

Oya, over to you to conduct the election. Let sentiment rest, oh...ha! grin

NB: Liberty connotes the opportunity to choose or participate in choosing while Equality connotes that the choice of a person or his opportunity to choose is as that of any other persons.

Let us cut the long story short. The only reason this thing is seeing the light of day is because of the vision of Oga Boss Icon4s. With that, his automatic inclusion is a must and a disservice to the whole process without him.

No logic justifies his exclusion.

I stand with TheSuperNerd on this.

Finito.

Story.

This is something driven mainly by him. The voting was to choose people based on popularity of those who people feel can serve the committee.

Chief Oga Icon4s does not need votes to show he merits to be on the committee and even head it because no one believes in the course like him. No one sees the dream, vision and mission as him.

The committee needs his passion to keep it alive because it is him.

The right and best choice always wins.

LOL.

22 people voted for him out of 62 votes

Tbaba raked in 16 votes out of the same 62 votes.

Tbaba is the most voted person on that list, yet icon4s garnered higher votes than the person with the highest votes.

By virtue of beating the highest votes by 6 votes, he has attained a majority votes.

Forgiveness, you're not that slick.

You seem to not understand that rules are subject to change. Nothing is ever set in stone, and even laws can be amended by the will of a majority. Also, committees can have an APPOINTED Chairman, who was never part of the ELECTION.

Anybody that has issues with icon4s being in that committee, should feel free to remove themselves from it and remove their votes too.

Leave them let them be forming democratic principles and rule of law upholders. I bet you none of them can put in the hardwork, dedication and finance Chief Icons put into this award.

If you ask them to contribute money or make arrangements for these things to happen they will disappear and become ghost readers.

Personally, I felt chief Icons and Andrew were automatically members of the committee and the votes was to decided those to join them in the process.

Chief Icons is the brain behind this awards, the sole financier and it's unreasonable for him no to be in that committee.

This country is backwards because we always look for excuses to Bury what is best for us.

Chief Oga Icon4s is a driver. He is the platform on which this things sits on. He is the dreamer, visioner and the fighter of this.

Even those voting do not have the kind of understanding and belief he has.

Chief Icon4s is the best thing for this. He should not be on the list for voting because his drive and actions have made his position automatic.

This is not Godfatherism.

This is like saying the World should vote if Jesus should enter heaven after he sacrificed his life on the Cross for those voting to enter.

Chief Oga Icon4s paid the price to be the boss. He totally earned it on merit by sacrifice. It is the right and just thing to do for the best of this program.

I am looking forward to a successful second edition of this award believing it will leave so much with the nff on the need to sometimes pay us visits here and as well make use of some our inputs...in managing Nigeria football
