thank you for the clarification, I believe everyone who did not know this before are aware of it now.

slushy:
This is wrong. Ednut is actually right. Work experience eligibility is assessed as at ITA and not AOR. What the VO will consider is “were you qualified at the time of the draw to receive the ITA”? If the VO removes the point for 3 years experience from your actual point will you still be eligible to receive the ITA?

Remember you’re responsible for whatever information you give. Regardless of what the system is currently showing. Your letter will probably state different and when the VO calculates based on that...

Hello house, great work you all are doing here as the information here is really helpful..Please I will appreciate suggestions and advise on my situation which I am about to share.. I want to guys to tell me the truth as regards my chances of getting PPR.. Below is my present situation

I am a single 31+years old Man with over 4 years working experience, and I do not have a Masters degree. I calculated my CRS score and my score was 420. Now, I should be getting married next year and my Fiance is a 25 years old fresh graduate with no work experience, she will be doing her NYSC by next year.. Below are my questions..

1. What will be my best option of applying? should I apply alone or wait till when I get married so I can use my Fiance as the primary applicant. Because truth be told, If I decide to go for Masters now, I would be 33+ when am through, which means automatically my points will drop cos of ma age, but she still has age on her side, dts y I wanna use her as the primary applicant when we marry.

2. What are the things we must do for our points to be high i.e what can she do to boost her scores and what must I do to also boost ma scores cos I knw her points will also be relatively low cos she doesn't have any work experience..

3. Is there any certification I can take as a programmer within a year that will improve my scores, instead of doing per time Masters for 2 years(I am actually avoiding this Masters cos I know when am through, age would have been against me..

Please I will really appreciate your suggestions and advise on my situation, I have really been thinking about the whole situation and I decided to share it here for suggestions and advises.. Please peeps in ma kind of situation before that have gotten their PPR can also tell me what they did.. Thanks in anticipation.

2. What are the things we must do for our points to be high i.e what can she do to boost her scores and what must I do to also boost ma scores cos I knw her points will also be relatively low cos she doesn't have any work experience.. why not do the above suggestion and apply as single, get ITA and submit your app. when you get married add your spouse, you stand a better chance if you obtain the diploma+ your degree+4yrs work experience. your age is not bad, do well in ielts if you dont already have that.

3. Is there any certification I can take as a programmer within a year that will improve my scores, instead of doing per time Masters for 2 years(I am actually avoiding this Masters cos I know when am through, age would have been against me.. The above program (BCS diploma in IT) is within six months, note next exam is March, its 3 modules i think

Hello seniors,

Please we need your expert advice; my wife and I are waiting on PPR, our AOR was July 2nd 2019 (we narrowly got ITA by 1 point); but we just had a baby 3 weeks ago. The baby is Canadian as we travelled to give birth to him in Canada. How can we go about updating this new information on our application as the baby does not require any permanent residency since she's already a 1st generation Canadian with a valid passport? Does this affect our scores as at ITA? Do we also need to submit a new PoF that reflects enough money for the third family member?

Eraytee has already said all that is necessary. About the course, BCS' Certificate in IT is your best option now. We're into tutorials, and you could sign up with us if you wouldn't like to do the "dreaded" self-study. Kindly check my profile for more deets, or contact 08073375252. Merci.

your family composition now doesn't affect your scores as at invitation, YES to bold if your initial POF didnt cover her, irrespective of her citizenship you must inform IRCC as regards the new addition to the family. congrats in advance for your PPR is near grin, congrats also for our canny baby girl grin

That’s not true.....it’s after ITA.... see a clause that comes with every ITA mail

NOTE: If you had a birthday since we sent you this invitation, and the change to your age decreases your points total, this will not cause us to refuse your application for permanent residence.

Unless something has changed in the way CIC handles applications. I am sure your age is frozen at ITA and not AOR. As such, a subsequent birthday before AOR will not impact your app even if score after birthday is lower than CRS points at ITA. It is always stated in the ITA letter as such. Unless things have changed ooo!
