No mind those chest beaters. I graduated from a federal university of technology in Minna Niger state and I can categorically tell you that only Nupe people alone outnumbered all the Igbos in the school.

University admission in Nigeria is based on the following
1. merit list
2. Catchment areas
3. Education disadvantage States

Universities in the north will always have more northerners because they will enjoy point 2 and 3.

There are far more Yorubas and middle belt group than Igbos in northern universities
