Oshigun:
This is wrong and raises real question about what is said about PMB by his critics. The DSS/SSS operates as a department within the presidency and under the leadership of the National Security Adviser who is under Buhari. There is therefore no way to extricate Buhari from what is going on with Sowore. They should release him immediately if he has met all bail condition. This is now looking ridiculous for Nigeria, PMB and many who think he is a good leader all things taken into account. Not a fan of Sowore's conduct but the courts set bail the man met bail. What is this rubbish about?

The more reason power was not transmitted to the VP because he understand the law better and he would have released sowore before Buhari comes back. My opinion though .

When you look back osinbajo tested the power by sacking babachir, The DSs DG and appointed somebody from the south south , by the time buhari came back , the whole thing change.

The northern oligarch will continue to hold us back . they can look at us in the face and we won't blink

Surely our esteemed Noble Laureate knows someone in Abuja ready to take on the surety responsibility and put up their property. wink

Judge: I’m concerned no one is willing to be Sowore’s surety

https://www.thecable.ng/judge-im-concerned-that-no-one-is-willing-to-stand-as-sowores-surety

Ijeoma Ojukwu, the judge presiding over the case of Omoyele Sowore, convener of #RevolutionNow Movement, says she is concerned that the activist has not meet the bail conditions granted to him.

While ruling on the application for variation of the bail conditions on Monday, Ojukwu said: “Considering the pedigree of the first defendant as observed in his application, it is rather unfortunate that no one is willing to stand as his surety on those terms.

“On the other hand, it creates an assumption that despite the pedigree of the first defendant, none of his best associates is willing to stand for him. This poses a cause for concern.”

She explained that bail sum is not required to be deposited but when a court makes an order for security, the secure money is later returned to the owner (surety).

The activist has been in custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) since August 3 when he was arrested in Lagos.

Femi Falana, Sowore’s counsel, had approached the court seeking a variation to the previous bail conditions which he said could not be met.

Ojukwu reviewed Sowore’s bail conditions and set aside the previous order which directed one of Sowore’s surety to deposit N50m.

She also reduced the bail sum of Olawale Bakare, the second defendant, to N30m instead of the initial N50m.

However, she refused to vary all the other conditions for bail.

Among the other conditions of the for bail are two sureties who must be resident in Abuja and have landed properties within the federal capital territory (FCT).

The court had held that the sureties must deposit original documents of those properties in the court registry.

The judge barred him from travelling outside Abuja and also stopped him from addressing any rally.

Nigeria has always been a cesspit of impunity and corruption. Obasanjo, Yar’adua, Jonathan all abused the powers of their office during their administration. Atiku would have been worse judging by how he abused his office as Vice President between 1999-2003. No sensible Nigerian would have supported Jonathan to continue in 2015 or Atiku to take over in 2019.

Btw, who are the you people? This is about Sowore and not me or the Yoruba ethnic group. Sowore is a fighter who is despised by all our political elites across party divide because he’s fighting for the masses. He fought the draconian military dictators, he fought the cabals of the Yar’adua administration, he fought the corrupt rogues of the Jonathan administration and he’s fighting the impunity of the Buhari administration.

So you see, the joke is on people like you who can’t see the bigger picture due to tribalism. Some of us are guided by altruistic national interest in making our political choices and not stupid tribal interest. We fight for Nigeria and nothing else. Period!

Wole Soyinka is one of the people who went to the streets to protest against Goodluck Jonathan when he removed fuel's subsidy.

Today Buhari has done worst than Jonathan on the subsidy matter, Soyinka can't criticize it let alone protesting.

It's you people are being tribalistic, it's not about tribalism, it's about patroitism.

Buhari has been a disaster since 1983, how sensibly, educated and "sophisticated" minds packaged , supported and elected him remains the 8th wonder of the world.

Remember he truncated the construction of fourth mainland bridge.

Obviously if Abacha were to be alive, he will still be voted by educated people despite his antecedents.

Since you want to tribalise, we Igbos voted against Buhari when he paired with Chuba Okadigo, because we know he is a disaster, despite pairing with our own, that's true patriotism, placing National interest and progress first against ethnic, tiebal or religious sentiment.

The saw way you people are also prepping a Chicago drug Lord and bullion vannlooter to take over still beats sane minds.

Soyinka was on BIAFRA SIDE and campaigned against the inhuman treatment of the igbos only for Ojukwu to later join the so called '' KIllers-of- Igbos'' in NPN some years later and that was why Gani and Soyinka never trusted him again till he left the world. So stop lying against Soyinka.
