How does the shop owner make his money? Is it on commission?

Partially on commission and sense too... Where I am some shops refuse to payout full payment for cashouts that is not a round figure...as in assuming a certain person wins NGN1570... The shop will pay only NGN1500 and the NGN70 goes into the shops pocket. But meanwhile the betting company makes a full deposit into the shop owner's account. So assume this for several customers.

Make it up to 700k and get yourself a Keke Napep. When you close from work, you ride it for about 2hours and weekends also.
Do not quit your job.

Knowing this for the first time. Does it mean the winners are not in the real picture of what is due to them? How many of such cuts will the shop owner make in a week?

I was not able to go through all the comments. But I have to advise you . First, don’t leave your job for a business yuh are about to start. Secondly: divide ur whole money into three, and go into any business with one third, shits can happen. Thirdly: yuh need an internet based business with that capital. Affiliate marketing, importation , drop-shipping, can help . Go and acquire the skills and go into them .

Bet9ja is a good deal but the issue is that the capital you have might not fetch you 100k week ..: I advise you save that money and collect baba Ijebu terminals from any of the popular lotto companies... I assure you you will keep most of your 600k and still be making very good commissions for a start.... then when you learn the ropes you can get more and more lotto terminals ... don’t resign you job ... this is something you just have to control closely with a sales girl or boy

Keep saving guy. Don't rush into a business because if your rush in, you will rush out. You need to learn a skill or develop a skill first in line with your passion. What do you like doing? What is your profession, your calling? Are you into fashion, engineering, web development, programming, networking, marketing, furniture, graphics designer, Arts, Farming(fish, pig, dogs, poultry).

You need to know what you love doing. Then learn more, acquire more technical knowledge on that field you have passion for. Approach a mentor who have made tremendous success in that chosen field. This will help you tremendously. You need an expert to guide you along the way before you set up the business.

My advise. Don't start anything now. Keep saving until you have acquired the skill and experience to venture into whatever it is you have passion for. Good luck.
Very brilliant advice

I don't think the business is moving like before. People have resorted to wearing a pair of dress for like 3 times before taking them to the laundry. Money hard o.

[quote author=adonainana post=84002924]Find a good estate agent and he will suggest some beer palours or lounges where the owner is requesting just about the same amount for a year lease or so. Nothing on this planet can make you money than money you make from hospitality ( people tryng to enjoy themselves)

I had the same amount 600k before i invested the money in a lounge and i made the money back within one month

Also im looking for a business partner to take over another hotel on a lease too so bro this is the best advice i have for you

If you thin your 600k is too small, you can DM me so we can combine resources

We rise by lifting others

LOCATION PLEASE?

A bad advice

YorubaPrince:
Don't quit your job.... cool

I won't advice you to concentrate all your capital on one venture. Try and diversify (several petty businesses like mini kiosk, Re-selling recharge cards, get a used okada and give to some to ride on ur behalf while they make daily / weekly deliveries, Bet9ja etc... ). This helps you to spread your risks and, try to focus more on the venture with the highest ROI. cool

The cuts is just a mutual understanding between the staker and the bookmaker(shop owner) ... They are places still where I am that make full payments exception of situations where we have values that cannot be paid eg NGN1789 the NGN9 won't be paid.. The cuts can be made in all tickets won that doesn't have a round figure. But in order to practice this and still be in business, the shop has either stood the test of time in the location, doesn't have competitors close by, or the owner is a whats up guy...

You've done well in making some savings and thinking outside the box. That's good, still, don't quit the job either.

I don't know where you are, but see if you can get your hands on a car with good condition (you can check on cheki), you could start the driving yourself after work and join Uber. The returns are pretty good. If you're to have someone driving for you, you could be getting upwards of 80K return per month. Think about that.

Storage business. Look for experienced person in that field. It might be your Mum in the Village. Inquire about fio fio , melon, honey, red oil and cocoa.

NB: You must look for experienced person in storage.
They make a lot money most times; some time they loose. That is why you must go for products that do not perish easily. Last year people that stored melon, sold with more 100% interest.

It's like this year is not looking good on melon storage. What do you think?
