(contd)

The passenger, whose accent proclaimed him of eastern extraction answered "the boy lying unconscious there". I was baffled. Why do I have to go back for any bloody reason when he is the one that hit me? I was already getting mega pissed by now and I told the idiot man as much and walked away with TJ. I had barely gone a few steps when I was surrounded by what seemed like hundreds of illiterate northern bikers commonly known as...you are. right. Very correct.

I was wondering what was happening when someone rode up with the idiot biker who struck me. Apparently he had regained consciousness his right cheekbone was scraped raw and swollen three time it's normal size.

They were all chanting "treat him" and were becoming agitated. TJ tried to explain that this hopeless guy had struck me from behind, but the more he explained, the more agitated they became. One of them who could speak English said I fvcked up. Ha, fvcked up how? He answered that after I caused the accident the least I could do was to stay behind to see if he recovered. Ha, aye mi o! How did I cause the accident? He answered that I caused it when I was "trying to cross the road".

Jesus Christ... undecided undecided undecided undecided undecided embarassed

Ha, cross the road to where?? To go and dance Alingo on top of the double parked trailers on their way to drop empty containers at the terminal? huh undecided I was heading to the ATM with this guy (I was pointing at TJ) when your brother came with his unfortunate self to jam me. undecided undecided

Then it dawned on me. None of the members of this motley mob of stark illiterate bikers were present at the collision, but they were already cooking up strange and satanic stories in allegiance with their comrade. Demonic accusations were flying around, the strangest of them being that I 'pushed' the idiot biker and he fell. undecided

One of my staff members who happened to the passing by came down from the vehicle he was escorting and jumped into the middle of the crowd. He told them to stop pushing me. Instantly a set of hooligans pounced on him and gave him hot chase down the extremely slopy side of Coconut bridge. These people seemed volatile and were ready to unleash violence. The boy ran to the shop of one of the eastern traders to report the incident. The trader, an elderly gentleman came, and after hearing my own side of this ridiculous matter whispered to me that there is trouble in Nigeria, and that haven't i noticed how 'they' have practically overrun all sectors of the economy, and in Lagos state as a whole? Didn't i know they have an agenda?

He advised that for my own safety and for peace to reign, I should just take the rider to the clinic. Another eastern gentleman who had left his shop to come and investigate this furor centered around an angry, wild haired, bespectacled and furiously gesticulating lady concurred.
You tried so much to run away from your shadow. But you are a bigot and a hypocrite.

You people are missing the point

Some of you are using this to throw aspersions on Nigeria, saying it's not one, bla, bla, bla.

But the key thing you guys are missing is that law enforcement is the MAIN REASON why these guys act the way they do in Lagos

They will never try this in onitsha.
Neither will they try it in PH

When Fashola was gov, didn't he clip their wings?
Now we have fools as gov of Lagos (Ambode and now this punk) and Lagos has gon3 to the dogs
And when you complain
Fools will come and bring ethnic sentiment into it saying stupid things, instead of adressin the matter

They are all driving recklessly because THERE IS NO CONSEQUENCE FOR IT
By the time reckless drivers are dealt with ruthlessly
Or their bikes seized
Or outright ban
That all these rubbish will stop

A country with no punishment and CONSEQUENCE for bad behaviours will be a mad house

If you like
Break Nigeria in 10
Na the same matter we go still face

So sorry for your experience @OP

There was a story about a couple of years back of someone who an okada rider hit but died. The person ran to the police station in VI and the mob of okada men drew him out and killed him there, burnt his car as well. Police station is not that safe.

I know someone that okada hit and broke his hand. The mob still insisted that he should pay for the okada man even though it was the okada man that hit him and he was injured. I just can't deal with those okada people.
All these are happening because there are no consequences
And the people and govt are complacent
By the time they are dealt with
All these will stop

The worst thing about all of this is that occurrences like this are becoming more frequent and not limited to motorcyclists. It happens in every region of Nigeria.

That said, Illiteracy is mostly responsible, but the patchy sanity exhibited by many of these recently migrated mallams is really worrying.
*recently migrated* is the worrisome part undecided

Exactly! It's not just any tribe. It's a human thing. Even in the United States of America, any rape allegation that doesn't even have evidence invariably incites social media mob against the accused. Even when it's proven that you are innocent, the dark cloud still hovers over your head and certain people seriously still take you as a rapist. A rape allegation, true or false, is just enough to destroy a man in the USA and other developed countries.

CASE ONE
Recently, a YouTuber called Zoe Quinn accused a man, her ex-boyfriend, named Alec Holowka of sexual abusing her. White knights and other #metoo maggots converged into a social media mob to malign Alec. Alec was sacked from his place of work even though the allegations had no evidence. Alec Holowka, a mentally ill individual who had been a victim of abuse, committed suicide. It was later discovered that she lied, her story was inconsistent with the facts, and she deleted her twitter account in order to obliterate many incriminating tweets. What happened to her? NOTHING.

CASE TWO
A YouTuber named ProJared was accused by his wife, Heidi O’Ferrall, of cheating and soliciting nude photos from minors, claims which she backed up with false proof. Heidi was later shown to be lying but the damage was done. ProJared was maligned by everyone and lost over 400,000 subscribers. It happened that Heidi and ProJared were in an open relationship (a fact which Heidi omitted) and the nudes were exchanged with consenting adults. What happened to Heidi? NOTHING! In fact, she is now playing the victim.

Recently, a group of Americans planned to Area 51 after falling for some conspiracy theory. I don't think they did. I didn't follow the news.

Ah!!! If I tell u my own experience u will be dumbfounded, it happened in my 100 level in a northern university. I read late into the night in one of our lecture halls & at a point i was tired and feeling a bit sleepy so I decided to go outside for a bit of fresh air.I sat at the stairs leading out of the class and I dozed off.all off a sudden two guys ran passed me and before I could make sense of what just happened those chasing the two guys ran towards me.and descended on me,hitting me with all sorts of things they could find around.i struggled to break free from these angry mob and ran into the class I was reading, the followed me and lynched me shred my cloth into pieces,I was begging for help while the entire class were just looking and muttering whatever in Hausa.when they were done beating me,they left me alone on the ground and then they disappeared. I was and inch closer to death and that was when I realized the kind of people these Hausa's are.
Can you imagine?

Since God spared you such that your bones are still in place and you’re okay, humanity demands you to at least try to help the person on ground. Even if not help, try to at least check on them with the rest of the crowd. You can narrate your ordeal there and be reiterating the fact that he hit you and you self is not in good condition, that will even be more noble.

What if it’s just an accident on the road and you are passing by, won’t you at least join other people to help the injured?

Don’t know why we Nigerians like arguing over petty matters and always evoking the ethnic and religious sentiments at any given opportunity
God didn't spare her, she was just lucky she wasn't injured. If she had also been injured would they also call for her to pay the bikeman?

And if she went to check on the bike man even though it's a good thing to do but it's also risky as it won't change anything, the story will still be the same.

How are we sure that you didn't sugarcoated your story so as to get sympathy from your readers while painting the riders black.

You would have atleast check on the guy to see whether he was injured or not, but instead you were busy arguing and claiming right, That's inhumane of you, if it happened where jungle justice prevails I guess they would have lynched you or something, next time for your safety don't argue in such places where there is dominace particular tribe.

Samething would have happened in Igbo or Yoruba dominated area of lagos, people tend to stand for their own. So is not only a northern thingy.

BTW your write up stinks of ethnic bigotry which makes you look like one.
If she was injured, will you see still say this?

I just advised you in a healthy way and was trying to tell you that situation just happens and life is transient.

Tomorrow it might be you that will hit someone with a car such that the person will be okay and you might be injured in the car. How will you feel if the un-injured person leave you to bleed without help?

I’m just trying to let you see that the game of life is not about you’re right or wrong. It’s just what it is.

And Yes, I’ve been injured by a car that hit me when I was young, so I understand how you felt in that state.
She was recovering when they accused her of the accident.

Now put yourself in that shoe, you were recovering from an accident that wasn't caused by you and people are already blaming your for the accident.

What will you do?

I read all 7pages because I realised, from page 1, that this was what precipitated the Civil War.

It is also not entirely right to claim that this incident would have been same anywhere a majority tribe was located because society learns. Some majority tribes do not respond as a swarm because communication and fairness is present at higher levels. I cannot imagine a doctor questioning someone, finding incoherence and not getting on one side of the argument in a place like Port Harcourt.
Unfortunately, some hate will be learnt and kept latent by society. This will change the reaction of every tribe, major or minor. @bigfrancis classified society. Fewer people climb higher on the ladder of being their best self. @Ishi should now reminisce and evolve. Avoid, flee were the experienced options. Sorry.

Who else noticed they don't bring development to anywhere they migrate to?
Exactly. Nigeria can never progress as a nation with the Hausa fulani core-north. This is why I usually hiss and ignore whenever I hear people singing the national anthem, celebrating independence and even praying for Nigeria.

A complete waste. We pray when we are not doing the right thing.

It seems like these Hausa bikers were not allowed into Udu axis cos I notice Udu bikemen are mostly indigenous, unlike that Shaguolo (Ekpan)/Ubeji/Jeddo axis?

Thank God bikes were banned in most Nigerian city centers.

In Udu 90% of the bikemen are natives, but from Ughoton down to Ughokodo and Shaguolo, majority are northerners, you need to see how they drive, even the keke business that is sustaining our youths, because of the dead economy of the overhyped city is still being shared with these guys.

Worst is, they don't bring development into the town, they ship in thousands monthly from God knows where, land they won't buy, house they won't build, flats they won't rent, they are not just adding anything positive into the society. Their mentality is something else.

I just have to agree these guys are just different from the rest of us, they don't even believe in the Nigeria project like some of us do.

Exactly. Only a Hausa fulani man will never build a house or invest outside the north. Other tribes will invest anywhere they live and earn a living.

Unfortunately, this evil and satanic mentality of theirs has rubbed off on some of our people through contact. My father has this mentality, but my mother disagreed and rejected it. She bought a land here in Uvwie and develop it with her own money. It is such a crazy thing to live and earn a living in a place for over 20 years and you leave with your bags and all the money you made back to your homestate without any positive contribution to that place.
That shows you do not actually believe in one Nigeria deep down in your heart.

When Hausas come to your place, they do not integrate, interract and socialize with the natives. They live on their own in their secluded quarters.
I and my family members communicate exclusively with pidgin english at home (not that it is something to take great pride in, cos Nigerians are supposed to value native languages more). However, this shows how much my family integrated with Warri natives. People don't even believe I am from Plateau state when I am in Jos cos I am Warri through and through in accent and expression.
Half of my family members are married to Urhobos, Edos e.t.c

You can never find this attribute among Hausa fulani people even though they have lived 3 generations outside the north. Rather they will seek to impose their own values in the place they migrated to.

How can we ever achieve a united country based on equity with such kind of people?

It will shock you to know that some of those Hausa men you see changing dollars and dealing in foodstuffs transportation from the north are actually millionaires. Some are very rich. However, they will continue to live in those Hausa quarters or rented squalors in the south for eternity, while they build and own mansions in their homestates.
The mentality of these people beat me.

It's so unfortunate that most Southerners do not see through these people.

It's sad some of your people are being influenced by them, I think proximity and religion is playing a big role in here, I once told you sometime back that most of you are not doing enough to break free from the influence of the core north, some of you still go on with the Arewa tag, like WTF?

You know these guys behave meek when they are outside their zone, hence it is always difficult seeing through their intentions.

You see, in this life, some drastic changes among a population of people happen generation after generation. It just cannot happen at once.

There was a time our people used to answer ridiculous native Hausa names that even majority of the Hausas themselves do not answer. You hear names like Mainoma, Madaki, Bature, Auta, Danfulani, Maimagani, Danjuma. These are still family names of many of our people till date.

That era left and people started answering Hausa Bible names like Ibrahim, Yohanna, Yusuf, Irmiya, Ishaya, Hauwa, Hannatu, Nuhu e.t.c
This era has also gone now and you can hardly find modern parents giving such names to their children again. It is either a native name or a pure English/Bible name.

I and my siblings were born in the 90s and my father gave us those silly names like Ibrahim, Alhamdu e.t.c grin. Thank God my mother instantly changed them to native/English names and hers stuck.

Most of our elderly and some middle aged people were brought up all their life to believe that Arewa is their destiny, identity and personality. Some of these people, no matter the injustice meted on our people, their minds just cannot be able to comprehend a distinct identity and struggle for themselves.
To them, they will try to give every excuse for the stupidity of Hausa fulani people. Unfortunately, my father falls under this category. My mother used to be in between until I fully convinced (converted) her grin

The good part is that 95% of this current youth generation (below 40 years of age) have no affinity, likeness or allegiance to anything Arewa (except for the muslim minority in our midst).

A good percentage of the middle-aged and even elderly have reversed their decisions.

Hence a drastic change in mentality and agitation has already begun. See an elder like Bitrus Pogu, a man from Southern Borno is the current president of middlebelt forum and at the forefront of championing unity between the South and Middlebelt.

Some of us are now even becoming anti-Nigeria and pro secession. You can see that Kogi guy's comment above.
We had a meeting recently and I was shocked to see people from even Adamawa in our group being pro-secession and even pro-IPOB cheesy
It's just a matter of time.

Didn't you see John Danfulani, a southern Kaduna leader go to meet Nnamdi Kanu to tell him that his people will join Biafra? Nnamdi Kanu was even planning a rally in Kaduna before the python dance. Not one Southern Kaduna person came out to speak against John Danfulani.... If it was the past, could such a thing ever happen?

@Your last paragraph. Yes, Hausa fulanis behave meek outside their zones, only when they are in a minority. As soon as they get numbers, they show their true colour.
Can't you see what they have been doing in Lagos? The Mile 2 crisis 2 years ago?

@bolded, this i won't agree with you, I once met an Abuja native (Christian) who was proud of her alliance to the core north, in fact she told me she was Hausa at first, when I doubted her, she then revealed her ethnic group, she was from Gbagyi.

Even online, I have seen youths from middle belt defend the core north, there is one Benue man on this forum that hardly defends his people but is quick to attack any one who attacks the core north.

So far I haven't seen any desire from majority of you to stand alone, I may be wrong.

Nne, things happen to us so we can learn from it. Many instances like this have happened to others especially Easterners in the north and they were blamed for it. Many Westerners will join to accuse these eastern victims of being the cause of the problem. I believe now you know better not to quickly judge any of such events until you get the full story.
As for Nigeria, the reality will gradually dawn on everyone soon. The catastrophe coming is very huge Africa will suffer tremendously from it unless Southern Nigeria work together with the middle belt to ACTIVELY reclaim the power from these merchants of death from the sahel. If we only fight from defensive position, Africa will suffer.

Do you realize she was in shock? She wasn't a passerby; she was a victim. How do you guys reason sef?
And she just left the man on the ground dying? You make it sound like the bike man left home with the intention to kill the OP. It was an accident for goodness sakes..
Here is a similar situation:
If you neighbour left candle on and his house accidentally catches fire and the fire enters your house, after putting off the fire in your apartment, what stops you from helping your neighbour put out the fire in his house even though you are the 'victim'.. Y'all should stop this tribalistic nonsense. It was an accident. ACCIDENT! NOT INTENTIONAL!! NAWA O

Since God spared you such that your bones are still in place and you’re okay, humanity demands you to at least try to help the person on the ground. Even if not help, try to at least check on them with the rest of the crowd. You can narrate your ordeal there and be reiterating the fact that he hit you and your self is not in good condition, that will even be nobler.

What if it’s just an accident on the road and you are passing by, won’t you at least join other people to help the injured?

Don’t know why we Nigerians like arguing over petty matters and always evoking the ethnic and religious sentiments at any given opportunity
you guys are the problem of the country and not those Fulani herders roaming the country like a fog without its leash. Assuming the ops was badly and nothing happened to the Okada rider do you think he would wait not to talk of treating her. According to the story, the Okada rider is supposed to take the ops to ops for medical check-up yet you want to castigate the ops for the wrongdoings of an Okada rider.

I wonder o my brother. See how human being dey reason! Somebody was knocked down and luckily escaped any serious injury but was grappling with pain and shock but he's still insisting she should have gone over to check on the bike man. Even if the bike man is my own blood, I won't be as insensitive as asking her to go check on him after she was knocked down. Na wa o.

It was as if I was reading a story. Sorry for your experience.
The other day a truckload of strange bikers were intercepted, people were labeling the government as ethnic bigots with some proclaiming their rights of free movement.
True talk lipsrsealed

@OP sorry about your experience, those bike guys are something else.

Finally, for those joining the oppressors against Biafra, it will gradually dawn on you.
Thanks
