If you could describe your victory in Bayelsa as a result poor performance by the current administration, then, Yahya Bello shouldn't even close to winning in Kogi state. Both party are bunch of the same feather. God bless Nigeria

That is the truth and that is how democracy works. Performance only should be the criteria but unfortunately there are very few Nigerians that are willing to recognise this aspect in the democracy journey.

Till now folks are all about personalities and alphabets not the principles and purposes of the exercise because the African is feudal in nature. He needs a king to be subject to. He cannot believe in the law so he needs a policeman. He cannot believe in God so he needs a prophet. He cannot recognise the power of democracy to better his life so all you hear about this election as far as Nigerians are concerned are Sylva, Lyon, Jonathan, Dickson, Tinubu, Oshiomhole, Buhari, etc.

Whereas all the people of Bayelsa simply did was to remove a defective component of their democratic machinery and replace it with another, no more, no less. So the case is clear, Lyon can journey wherever he wants and say whatever wishes to whom ever, the bottomline is, he has 4 years to deliver what he has promised or he willbe replaced.

Congratulations to Bayelsans once again.

Rivers aren't going to any APC, that is if APC does not implode after their 2023 primaries.

Rivers has a lot of Igbo/Igboid influence that aren't really comfortable with anything APC.

However,Dickson refused and even told GEJ to his face that he doesn't need to answer to anyone like he has always done before and would prefer and choose Diri ,who was rumoured to be his cousin, as the next Governor of the state!

Senator Diri was actually brought in as an extension of Dickson's continued rule even after he had left office just to have an influence on Bayelsa state while taking up the senatorial slot that will be left vacant by the deputy candidate Lawrence Ewrujakpor if PDP eventually wins!


Dickson wanted to become the one and only godfather in the state simply because he was the only governor in the state that has completed 2 terms..hence he elevated himself to an emperor status and trashed out any elder that wasn't in aggrement with him to the dirtbin!

GEJ never attended the final PDP rally where Diri was to be presented as PDP governorship flagbearer!

It was indeed a masterstroke but very risky!
If this plan had gone south,GEJ would have gone into oblivion!
