Inferiority complex is an issue affecting many Nigerians and thats why travel agents capitalise on their foolishness and self hate to decieve them to smaller countries promising them heaven and earth only for them to get there and notice that grass isnt greener and the locals there are also strugling to get few jobs available hence xenophobic crisis

Should we also snap pictures of selected areas in Nigeria, like Ikoyi, VI, Eko Atlantic, Abuja Business districs, Kano metropolise, Maitama, Asokoro .. beautiful parts of Portharcourt then we can also decieve people

Anyways, while we keep rubishing ourselves online so that people from Ghana , Togo and Kenya can ridicule us, the Lebanese, Chinese and Indians are trooping in to enjoy what we hate while our people are going out to slave off in mere kenya

If your theory was right, India and China would have been in the stone age!
The richest country in the world would have been the smallest in landmass and population.

Very true. Honestly Botswana is sure a well organized country.

I could remember Dr Okonjo iweala was part of their economic team from world bank and she was retained in that country to help them formulate policies to get them out doldrums.

That is to say with good sincerity of purpose , accountability, transparency , good faith Nigeria can still turn things around for herself .

Though , she tried when she held sway as the minister of finance ,but political sense was more than economic sense from those that appointed her.

They love to badmouth Nigeria as if they are better than the rest of Nigeria or their village leaders already turned their village into Dubai, but they represent the worst and everything that's bad and disgusting about Nigeria.

....but they are the same people always starting topics to put small and backward countries like Rwanda ahead of their own country, the same Rwanda that as we speak, more than half of of that country don't have access to electricity.

They copy 2 pictures and post promotional videos to prove that some village, backward and poor countries are better than their own country.

I guess their low self-esteem and shallow mentality is not limited to NL.

Same with shipping lines . we have nothing to boast of .And we expect to earn more foreign exchange . We are not just competitive as a nation.
What stops the presidency to convert the aircraft in their fleet for commercial purposes , , in that way more revenue and expansion will surely come, but we are just wasteful .

Joyce banda of malawi did that to make money for the government.

Botswana is a decent country. Though they are sadly tending to.dictatorship.

Kagame on the other hand has a lot of question marks on him.

He is a dictator who is currently plundering Congo for resources, arming rebels and disappearing govt critics and oppositions in Rwanda.
And Rwanda has very little private sector. Everything is government.
So his economic model is very shallow.

The kagame bubble will burst soon.

War on the poor? Kigali cracks down on street trade

But the future appears less bright for the thousands of street traders working in Kigali, following a new directive from the city council imposing harsh new restrictions.
"Whoever is caught peddling on the street or buying the products will (be fined) RWF10,000 ($13)," the directive announced. Traders' goods are to be confiscated.

Pressure has grown on the informal economy in recent years, although it accounts for 73% of non-agricultural employment in Rwanda and 46% of the nation's GDP.

A recent Human Rights Watch report highlights the risks for those who defy the rules. The group documented dozens of cases of vendors being arrested and detained without trial at the notorious Gikondo Transit Center, and in some instances being subjected to violence, extortion and torture.

Kigali is “Africa’s cleanest city,” but that comes at a heavy price

www.nairaland.com/attachments/10383149_gikondocropped_jpeg4b520e97d3ed38d77b3a7a0fbb96faf3

Kigali, Rwanda’s capital, is often lauded as “Africa’s cleanest city”. The country’s 2008 ban on non-biodegradable plastic is often mentioned as a cause. Another is that on the last Saturday of every month, people across the country commit time to projects aimed at improving the country’s public spaces, in a mandatory practice called Umuganda—loosely translated as “coming together to achieve a common purpose”.

But there’s a hidden cost to Kigali’s spotless reputation, and the poorest and most vulnerable are those who pay it.

A Human Rights Watch report (pdf) released today reveals how Rwandan police arbitrarily round up and detain people they deem, in the report’s wording, “undesirable”—street vendors, prostitutes, petty criminals, beggars and street people—with the intention of keeping the streets of Kigali tidy.

https://qz.com/africa/509948/kigali-is-africas-cleanest-city-but-that-comes-at-a-heavy-price/

This is what they do to keep Kigali clean, they arrest and lock up people like you and keep you off their streets to make it look clean.

Is this the kind of life you wish for yourself?

They don't allow street trading and Hawking, but when they try to ban it in Nigeria, people like you with your fellow village people peddling gala and pure water cried and yelled cruelty and war against the poor common man.

The dirty and pigsty lifestyle people love to show us how other places are better than Nigeria, but they are the dirtiest and the most odious people in Nigeria.

Approaching Okpoko market through thick smog on the back of an okada (motorcycle taxi), the natural reaction is to cover your nose to protect yourself from the dust storm – but the effort is futile.

When a lorry zooms past, kicking up yet another red cloud of dirt, a trader turns the head of a sleeping toddler away from the road, a protective act that is as poignant as it is pointless.

This is a typical day in the southern Nigerian port city of Onitsha – which last year gained notoriety when it was ranked the worst city in the world for the staggering levels of PM10 particulate matter in its air.

Onitsha’s mean annual concentration was recorded at 594 micrograms per cubic metre by the World Health Organization – massively exceeding the WHO’s annual guideline limit for PM10s of 20μg/m3.

PM10 refers to coarse dust particles between 10 and 2.5 micrometres in diameter, while PM2.5s are even finer and more dangerous when inhaled, settling deep in a person’s lungs. Sources of both include dust storms, gases emitted by vehicles, all types of combustion, and industrial activities such as cement manufacturing, construction, mining and smelting. Onitsha scores highly on most of the above – as do other rapidly growing Nigerian cities such as Kaduna, Aba and Umuahia, all of which also featured in the WHO’s 20 worst offenders for PM10s.

In Onitsha’s very busy Okpoko market, my air quality monitor registers 140 for PM10s and 70 for PM2.5s – all way over recommended healthy levels, but still nothing compared to the readings triggered in other parts of this densely populated commercial and industrial hub.

The entire vicinity of the market is perpetually dusty, as wood-sellers saw lumber into different shapes and sizes. The air here is made worse by all the fine sand particles that fly off the back of trucks as they visit one of the many dredging companies on the bank of the River Niger, just behind the wood market.

They traveled all the way to Rwanda to show how that backward country is better their own dirty and stinky villages, instead of learning how to keep their own village clean.

Their own Onitsha is the dirtiest and the most polluted city on the surface of the earth according to WHO.

Before going to Rwanda, what about your own dirty towns and villages? You are the reason why Nigeria is dirty.

PMB is a million times better than these names you mentioned. What radical change?

We, Nigerians, are just unbelievable. Our various state governments receive billions on monthly basis, yet we are always in a hurry to scream PMB and FG. Have you been to Bonny Island to see the Bonny-Bodo Bridge project? There are a lot more projects scattered across the country.

That was the same way we brought Jonathan who had crude selling for over $100 for most of his time in office but couldn't achieve anything significant, especially in terms of infrastructural development.

Investigate every poor person and you would find laziness, disloyalty, lack of integrity and pride.
