Are you telling me no expertriates in Dangote Cement factory or other big firms own by Nigerians
And is that good for the unemployed Nigerians? Let's face it. Dangote is an Indian company with a Nigerian owner. Is that what is needed with Innoson? You have qualified Nigerians. Use them.

The Igbos have Innosson,The Yorubas have Proforce. Both from the South. What exactly does the north bring to the table apart from terrorism?
To be fair to them, they have Dangote!

No wonder we saw a heavy line of containers going to Innoson 2 weeks ago!

I guess they were carrying the automated manufacturer parts! Kudos Innoson.

I know. It looks 'quasi' automated. But I'm sure Innoson will get there someday. Full automation could be somewhat expensive when we do not have the right skilled people to manage the machines...

Just One thing I'll really appreciate from this man. He should set up an auto research center that'll focus on developing hi tech solutions to solve local problems in the industry.

Artificial intelligence driven solutions, precisely.
Give him kudos. It's not easy manufacturing in Nigeria. A lot of others have closed shops. He has over 4 manufacturing outfits , mind you he has limited education and yet he employed over 7000 workers.
Re: New Innoson Automated Vehicle Plant In Pictures by Icon79(m): 8:36pm On Nov 22, 2019
You can always play the tribalism card but, still, facts are facts. God has given every race (tribe) something (a unique identity) that distinguishes them from all the other races.

Ndi Igbo are blessed to be inventors and innovators. That's an indisputable fact. Take it from me, Nigeria will become the Japan of Africa if they free Ndi Igbo and allow them to take their rightful place in Nigeria.

Yet all my afonja friends tell me that it's "a status symbol" for a Yoruba guy to date an Igbo girl.

And I am not kidding you either!

And you think they occupy the roles the expatriates do in Nigeria? You think they are as many as the expatriates in Nigeria companies are? I understand that they are as unemployed as Nigerians, yet disregard their local content laws and focus on the foreigners.

But are we surprised? A gubernatorial candidate was known to refer to China with every statement he made. Who knew Beijing was in South East Nigeria.

A vety good idea for a sane society, here people die daily with lots of skills . Our government isn't doing anything to promote individual intelligence

you guys are very foolish.. so because FFK(biafra sympathizer), and akeredolu are married to igbo women, it now means all yorubas are married to your women.. and don't mention davido cause chioma is still a babymama.. Icon79

you won't see them talk on this because it's a united south voice. Wait to see Igbos and Yorubas fighting, that is when you will hear the voice of Northerners

It took the entire might of Nigerian government, Russia (a super power), Great Britain (another super power), Saudi Arabia, Egypt, and about a dozen other countries more than 3 years to defeat the rag tag army of Biafra who were literally fighting the war with their bare hands!

Now, go analyze that and maybe (just maybe) you may understand where I was coming from. Until then, have a good weekend!

I thought automated means machine only, no human being, please someone should correct me if am wrong
It has to be installed by humans

It will to be operated by humans

At this stage, it will now reduce human work force and do things mechanically

There by creating less job for humans more jobs for machines and the operations

You're right. This is not automation.

"Automation | Britannica
https://www.britannica.com › technology › automation
In general usage, automation can be defined as a technology concerned with performing a process by means of programmed commands combined with automatic feedback control to ensure proper execution of the instructions. The resulting system is capable of operating without human intervention."

It's simply mechanized assembly jigs. An upgrade to what they were doing before. Impressive but Nigerians just like excessive hyperbole.

Pictures off automation is shown below.
With cheap labor costs in these parts , minimum worker injury compensation, and unions only in oil companies you can hardly justify automation. The benefits are not applicable.
