I meant the course level of a lintel btw the dpc and roof level, making it serve like a middle beam in a soak away construction.

structurally, the roof beam helps in transferring roof loads down to the foundation with the help of the pillars.

As an experience homeowner, for a bungalow, chain lintel without roof beam is very very very fit for purpose. Absolutely no structural need for additional beam. The chain lintel will spread the roof load adequately. And you can tie your roof to the chain lintel.

If na beam and lintel dey do you, you can do short lintel, level with three coaches and then chain. You must continue with the columns to the chain and then tie your roof to the chain. To be honest with you, there is no need for this. Just chain, level with three coaches and tie your roof to the chain.

Three coaches on top the chain lintel will spread the roof load effectively. Nothing do you.

Abuja price is different from Lagos price. U can only get it cheaper in Lagos
