He was the premier of the north. His responsibility was inclusive of every single Nigerian citizen resident in the North. He was the Premier of Northern Nigeria, not just Northerners in the northern Nigeria.

North is a region of Nigeria, and Nigerians have equal rights to live and work anywhere in the country they so wished. That's how it should be ideally..

The northerners did not have enough educated people to fill the positions in their own region talkless of working in the south because there were not enough western educated people from the north. Whose fault?

North then was a region of Nigeria that has a semi autonomous status, which means it was a country within a country, it can organized her economy, reform her civil service as she want, give employment to whomever she want without the central government consent. The north has all the right to filled up her civil service position with only northerners just like the west and the east have that right.

The need to measured up to others is the reason why you are the most hated ethnic group on the face of earth, inferiority complex is a very big disease. what is the relationship between owning a passport and knowing how regional system work in saner climes?

If I may ask, how many of the said saner climes practice the same system of regionalism based purely on ethnicity practiced in Nigeria in the 60s

When Ironsi promulgate that infamous decree 34 against all advices from other non- ibos, Ojukwu rushed to the air ( the following day) to brag in his usual manner that he intend to "export" his people to the north to fill all the civil service posts which the northerners, can't.

The sardauna was only explaining the rationale behind his northernisation policy; aimed at protecting and reserving key northern jobs for northerners only, in line with what other regional govts (both west and east) were also doing at that time in their own regions - you would clearly hear him say so at the end of the clip.

Kanu and his ilk should therefore look elsewhere for a more better excuse to justify his unacceptable incitement and hateful utterances.

The problems we are having in Nigeria today can be blamed on the foolishness of Nnamdi Azikwe for supporting one Nigeria with all his might and Aguiyi ironsi for promulgating a unification decree which destroysd regional arrangements in Nigeria as he converted the four regions into states.

Oga just go park for one side, if you honestly believe what the premier said, "Igbos have a tendency to dominate & monopolise," amounted to hate speech; then you have a serious problem with comprehension - and you'll be advised to do something about it quickly.

Besides what he was saying was exactly what the other two regions (East & West) headed by Okpara and Awolowo were already doing - each premier was acting as a protective champion of his region.

IgbereTV reports that Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, has alleged that the late Sardauna of Sokoto, Sir Ahmadu Bello was the progenitor of hate speech in Nigeria.

Kanu claimed that Bello and the people of the Fulani extraction were the first to experiment hate speech against non-Muslims to advance their political domination in Nigeria.

A statement by IPOB’s spokesperson, Emma Power quoted Kanu as saying: “Sir Ahmadu Bello the preliterate Fulani Caliphate feudal lord with his primitive xenophobic tendencies was and still remains the undisputed progenitor of hate speech and irredeemable hater of non-Muslim ethnic groups in the disastrous British colonial experiment known as Nigeria.

“Fulani were the first to utilise hate speech to advance their domination of the political space in Nigeria, but today they want to stifle debate and criticism. I suggest this fact guide the thinking of Almajiri lawmakers sponsoring this bill.

“Some inhabitants of the abominable damnation, especially those from the south- with their warped and misguided sense of patriotism, still accommodate the obnoxious and downright ignorant views of the supporter of APC unity begging desert dwelling cow loving reprobates. Britain must close their African Zoo to help put the animals that inhabit it out of their collective misery and hopelessness.
