Nigerians is even a strange term because artificial borders mean nothing when it comes to ethnicity, especially when it comes to nomadic tribes like the Fulani who are accustomed wandering in and out of what are now state lines.

That reminds me of the question of migration patterns. There are Fulani settlers as far as the Ethiopian border. So what if some of the ethnic groups you mentioned in Ethiopia still share some genetic similarities with Fulanis but got separated due to splitting of different groups some years ago?

wolof is not the same as fulani, they are different and speak different lanuages, both wolof and fulani fall under Senegambian languages, wolof are not related to Nigeria.

all borders in africa are artificial, they were all created by the colonisers when partitioning africa.

migration patterns are hard to trace, the fulanis are nomadic and pastoral people, it will be hard for them and their cows to survive in a landlocked country like ethopia.

This is just how I think. There are horners who think negatively. We all have problems, as some Nigerians in here I have encountered calling us starved people and as some Ethiopians offending west Africans.

About the Bariya part btw,

here in Ethiopia, Bariya means 'slave'. We use that word for dark skinned people and no one makes a big huff about it. If you call out an Ethiopian stranger Bariya, he won't care at all. I have been called that when the sun got me darker and it was never an issue. They may call you that on street and no one cares.
