@OP: Go for Physics it has more opportunities than any of the listed. As a physicist you can do or become anything you desire, there is no limit.

I am a Physicist. I started as an IT manager as a system engineer then I moved into telecommunications and now I am into Energy and solid minerals (Oil&Gas, Coal, Zinc etc). I am even considering to be professional accountant.

Oga calm down...
Ur physics certificate didn't give u that...

Since nursing is her original course, I'll say she should go for pure and applied chemistry. This ensures she still stays within what she wants and make sure she takes another jamb to pursue what she really wants again.

Meanwhile, Lagos residents I have a free ride for you all via Max okada.( They are the yellow bikes you've been seeing around your hood).

Download the max okada app from the playstore and register using OSINUBI1 as referral code.
You get one free ride worth up to #1000 to take you to anyway.
Please note again, I said 1 free ride and it's worth up to #1000.

Kindly download the app now ( it's just 5mb from the playstore) and register using OSINUBI1 as referral code.

Sure it did.

I got my International scholarship because of that. And physics opened my mind to the fact that I can do anything.

It depends on your sis, nothing like a career prospect courses.

There are many PhD, msc, bsc, hnd, ond graduates without a job, it's not because they ain't qualified, it's because they have failed to discover their inherited gifts.

Gift is more than education.

This is the kind of talk that make people choose some kind courses in the university and later start regretting it later in life. Oga for your information there is something like career prospects when choosing a course of study in the university.

Unless your sister is 65 years old and has to get a degree very urgently, let her rewrite Jamb and go for the career of her dreams... nursing. Send her for A/level lesson so she can perform better in the next JAMB and post UTME.
Good luck.

Go for applied chemistry

Is a course that is very useful in the industries
Re: Which Of These Courses Should She Choose? by wacuc0: 1:48pm On Nov 26, 2019
You get it wrong.
I am in the oil industry. The graduate of Physics are highly needed in the system like mad. The only thing is we don't really know this course. People who do well in Physics in UK, Norway, Sweden etc are worshiped like god. Are you good in sciences and come out with a good result. Scholarship awaits you with pay in many universities abroad.

None get future. Future lies with the person studying the course. However, if she doesn't mind losing one year she should reapply for jamb. If any of those courses is in same faculty she can choose it. My candid advise bone the school and go to private Universities that offers Nursing like Leeds or she should go to any school of Nursing.

Choose Applied Chemistry or Maths and thank me later, with a degree in Applied Chemistry or Maths you can 'do no wrong'. Graduated with a degree in Industrial Chemistry some years back and with God's help it has taken me to many places, Nigeria, UK, Italy Kuwait. I used to think I will end up a school teacher (in those days) grin grin. No way! ended up with the likes of ConocoPhillips, Total E&P and now KOC.

Depending on what her aptitude is, I'll advise she goes for either Mathematics or Physics. Then during the breaks or when she's finished school she can do a quick course learning a programming language like Java or Python.

You can thank me later.

Mathematics or Agric. I think Mathematics is the most flexible because she can easily become a Statistician, Data Scientist, Computer Scientist, Accountant in the future. It depends on her interest but Maths is a great course. A Mathematician can easily turn to anything. Once you get the mind of solving problems with numbers, nothing will be difficult for you to handle.

If she has the mind to go for further studies, I will suggest mathematics, specifically statistics. She can do financial risk at the MSc level. There are courses in that line that there are very few Nigerians doing it and it is lucrative.

Nairalanders! Pls I need your candid advice.
I used to feel depressed every time I remember my dream course, and the course I found myself. I'm an undergraduate of the university of Ibadan distance learning, from the department of psychology. A 200 level students with a CGPA of 6.3. Don't be surprise of which one is distance learning?it's UI part time programme.
The journey began in 2017,when I took my first UTME exam. I did fairly well and I applied for medicine and surgery in the university of Ibadan. I wrote the post utme exam and I didn't meet the cut off mark for admission. So I opt in for UI part time programe. I opt in for UI part time program not because I could not wait to rewrite the exam the following year, the reason is that I was advised by a tutorial master. I took him as my career guardian, because I didn't know anything about university admission. So,everything he says was the final.
To make the story Short
Later years, when I found out it was part time programme,I was not pleased with it. And the cause of the big fees we used to pay (120k). I can't afford those fees due to my financial status, I'm from a poor home, where will hardly feed on 3 square meal per day. I found my strength in teaching, and I started doing that, just to afford my school fees. The cause of the stress is too much for me,I made a plan of obtaining another jamb form 2019,but I was unable to get #3,500 to apply for the form.
This is my pain,if I will be paying high school fees,on what am I paying it for. And the course is not what I wish for. Don't forget it's not about some psychologist also work in the hospital. It's a dream. I'm this type, whether I study any course,I will still do well.
This is my pain, and I used to see myself as a failure every time I remembered.
Pls, I want to write another UTME exam to study medicine and surgery. What is your advice for me? I need your help, both in terms of advice and material wealth. Plsss
I make the story, there are a lot of limiting factors for me.

You can whatsApp me or call 07037123918

It's simple bro, if you don't feel fulfilled doing what you are doing then you need to quit!

Stop that program, gather the little resources you can get from your teaching, obtain UTME form and pursue your dream,. I wish you the very best. Cheers

Let your cousin go for mathematics. With that course, the sky is the limit. All she needs to do is pick up programming along the line. She could work across multiple domain as a data analyst, data scientist, machine learning engineer, software engineer, computer programmer, programmer analyst etc. With a background in mathematics, she would easily be considered for a masters in computer science and related fields after bachelors degree. If your cousin decides to travel at some point, there will be no need to go back to school or take some conversion courses because mathematics is mathematics everywhere.
