Prepmyfuture should be a supplement not a substitute to classes or getting a tutor (my opinion), unless of course you're just looking to brush up. You can get it and do some of the sample tests to assess your level.

Quebec immigration is via a portal called ARRIMA, google quebec arrima, it comes up.

There are repeats in TEF.

BNTtech:


BCS will cost you 20 or 30 pounds to register for membership, and 40 pounds to register for each module of the exam. There are three modules, meaning it would cost you a maximum of 150 pounds. If you are interested in sitting for the exams in March next year, check my profile for more info.

Please, do one sit for all 3 modules in March??

So I received my results on Monday. I have been discouraged to share. But then here it is:

CE: 240/200- C1
CO: 263/360- B2
EE: 239/450- B1
EO: 212/450- B1

While it is not what I wanted, I believe I did well given that I started from zero level in April of 2018 and that it was my first attempt.

I was worried with the writing all along cos i didn't flow well but i feel more disappointed with the speaking. My plan is to use the next three months to focus on improving these two areas and then give it another try.

CO: Benin, aide scolaire
CE: biere verte, patheons Haiti, un nouveau logiciel, les chauffeurs, and others.
EO: A. Call Train company to get information on their packages
B: Convince a friend to become a product tester.
EE. A. A 96yr old woman unfortunately had to sell her house.
B. Travels and holidays are worth more than certificates

Overall it was a nice experience. Had to drop the idea of TCF because the changed their dates.

For those who are already in B1/B2, just get on that Facebook page and get the link to those 85 past questions. I doubt there was any questions from both the CO and CE that I hadn't seen before. Although I didn't revise like 2 of the long texts and one of the long recordings for CO, but I had treated virtually every single question.

For the EO, practice speaking. It's not as difficult. The examiners were helpful with giving me confidence. Just keep practicing and don't stress too much.

I was thrown off balance by the EE. I struggled a bit. It's the only place I have a bit of fear. Though I try to ensure my grammar was correct but I didn't flow well.

Hopefully I can come back and share good news I'm another 4-6weeks.

I totally agree that you did well and I believe you can refire in 3 months.

Well, you may need to ask around first. But, there is a tutor that prepares you for TEF from the get go, though it is online. I'm also learning from him too. Check www.tobidam.com for more details.

No, it is not compulsory to sit for all modules at once. But most people - because of the fight for time - will rather plan to do all at once. Also, if any module is failed, it does not mean one has to rewrite all three; one only needs to write the failed module. And like we normally say to our students, it's a risk worth taking.

The process is a bit more involving. I will try to break it down to the best of my knowledge.

Steps:
1) First, you will need to create an Expression of Interest profile online using the Arrima portal. Regardless of whether Quebec is taking immigrants or not, Arrima is always open and it is advisable to create your profile there as soon as you can.
2) If your profile is solid enough, you will receive an ITA from the above process; use this ITA to apply for CSQ on the portal called "Mon projet Quebec". Here, you can make your payment online, follow the status of your application, make changes to your application, and any access personal electronic messaging throughout the process.
3) Once you are issued a CSQ, you can proceed to CIC portal to create a permanent residence application which will go through the normal route (R10 check, medical, bio-metric, criminality, security, eligibility, etc).
4) If all goes fine, you will get your PR approval!

Notes:
i) Before the introduction of Arrima portal, CSQ applicants would usually go through the "Ministere de l’Immigration, de la Diversite et de l’Inclusion (MIDI)".
ii) I'm not sure if the above body still takes applications directly, but it is advisable to visit their site for other available Quebec immigration programs.
