I am more conversant with the American sister Body i.e. BSCP which handles the CSP/ASP Examination and Certification.

Please what’s the major difference between NEBOSH AND ISPON and what’s their cost?

Good evening everyone. I am a graduate of biochemistry since 2016, i obtained HSE 1,2 and 3 in 2017 during my service year. I have been teaching since 2018 but at this point i want to stop teaching and i am looking towards working in an industrial area like Oil and gas. I am thinking of relocating to port hardcore to increase the chances of getting better jobs. Presently, i am thinking of Nebosh training but i need advice on what to do presently.
Is nebosh the best option ?
Will that increase my chances of getting a job in any industry ?

OK, we all want an HSE certificate, how many has been able to secure jobs with HSE?

I know three folks who are currently using them in PHC and Lagos one of who got his NEBOSH three weeks before his first job another was about two years after getting his NEBOSH.

ISPON is local contrary to whatever snakeoil they may be selling and the NEBOSH is both local (in the UK they write the National General Certificate) and international (Here they have the International General Certificate). This classifications also extend to their Diplomas.
Employers especially the MNCs prefer the NEBOSH over the ISPON as Nigeria does not have a robust OHS Legislation asides the Factories Act of 1987.
