Over 40 million people in the United States live below the poverty line, twice as many as it was fifty years ago. It can happen very quickly. Many people in the United States fall through the social safety net. In the structurally weak mining region of the Appalachians, it has become almost normal for people to go shopping with food stamps. And those who lose their home often have no choice but to live in a car. There are so many homeless people in Los Angeles that relief organizations have started to build small wooden huts to provide them with a roof over their heads. The number of homeless children has also risen dramatically, reaching 1.5 million, three times more than during the Great Depression the 1930s. A documentary about the fate of the poor in the United States today for all to watch. It is not so rosy in the USA for these 40 million people who live in poverty there yet USA never talks about this but rather focuses on African countries to talk about how poor Africa is just to discourage people from looking to Africa for a life including Africans. They do all they can to cover the decay in their society but do everything to amplify those in Africa simply because PEOPLE MEAN WEALTH. They rely on man power to get their country great and if they can attract the best from the countries they call the worst then they can harness the wealth of resources in their brains to their own good and benefit. If not for privately done documentaries like these a lot of truths would remain hidden from those who assume America is eldorado. 5 Likes 1 Share |

Many have nowhere to sleep except in cars or street corners or parks or make shift shelters donated by kind hearted individuals or agencies. Many are without access to healthcare. Many get evicted from their homes at gun point because they could no longer afford to pay for such homes despite having 3 to 4 jobs they work at 7 days a week. |

Poverty is everywhere but the western leaders are trying their best to pull as much as people out yearly not in comparison with our African leaders who only cares about their personal gains. We all saw how people diverted relieve materials meant for people at the IDP camp 7 Likes |

Imagine the USA people claim is eldorado. People are seen in this video having to choose between healthcare and feeding because they cannot have both due to their poor situation. kestolove95:The fact you fail to realize is that in America you work hard just to pay bills and taxes. It is a credit oriented economy unlike Africa which is wired in such a way that you do not owe credit unless you need to but in America if you like it or not you will be in debt. The hype about America is just a hype. So many Americans are now relocating to Africa because to them it is the same quality of life but at a much cheaper level and based on this, they will avoid being in debt. 7 Likes 1 Share |
