It depends. Twitter is twitter but a reputable law or consultancy firm that needs its clients to have confidence in its employees will always check your social media before hiring you.

Part of being hired by such firms is your good name and impulse control. The client needs to trust that you wont do something stupid

This is not even the point. She was competing with other well qualified people who didnt have nudes. The company is simply re- risking its brand risk. Nobody applies for a job in a vacuum. There are people better or very close to your abilities. Employees will employ all sorts of things as tie breakers.
